  1. Nothing special in the practice today, just hit a bucket before the round. Played meh.
  2. Range time working on the 8i and 6h. Focusing on clearing the hips. The swing has started to feel too armsy again.
  3. Started on the putting green with the 3/6 drill. Took me 8 tries to complete it. 4 times I failed on the last ball... too much pressure. Then did the 3' x 8 balls lag drill. That one took me 4 tries. Then went to the range and worked on irons, focusing on the short irons and hitting to the pins.
  4. Went to the practice area and worked on the Pelz 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 swings with my SW. Getting some strange distances, so I'm going to have to keep working on this one. Then went over to the putting green and worked on the 3' , 6' drill (4 balls @ 3' from the ho le, 4 balls @ 6' from the ho le, make them all without missing or start over). Completed this drill on the first attempt. After that did the 3' gap lag drill, 8 balls, 3' gaps, get them all to the hole and no more than 2' past. If any don't make it to the hole, or get past 2', start over. That drill took me 4 tries to complete.
  5. Wasn't able to get to the range today, so just worked on 50% shots in my sim room. Trying to get the club at the right spot half back and half through.
  6. Played 22 holes. Chipped and putted for 15 minutes before the round working on an up & down drill.
  7. Well,I practiced every day of last month and it's starting to come together. Shot a 2 over par back 9 after a terrible front 9. As for my 5 minutes, I chipped and putted before the round working on chipping it within 8 feet and making 5 foot putts. Definitely helped during the round. How's that for a slack update?
  8. Well, I officially practiced golf every day in July. Did some slow motion drills today. Overall I can feel the swing getting better.
  9. Range work on clearing dem hips. Shakira shakira. Spent about 30 minutes trying to get those hips not to lie.
  10. Worked on the full swing, slow mo... focusing on clearing the hips without falling backwards
  11. Finally starting to make good contact with the full swing. Practiced driver and irons on the range for about an hour.
  12. Worked on slow motion full swings for 15 minutes
  13. Busy day today. Hit 90 balls on the range in 103 temps. Hot as hell....
  14. Continued backswing work in a mirror. This game is hard.
  15. Worked on slow motion swings for about 15 minutes
  16. Great session working on the backswing some more, starting to get it grooved. Spent an hour at the range.
  17. Took a lesson yesterday so had plenty to work on today. Primarily focused on keeping the club from getting inside on the takeaway. It's a move I've struggled with since I started this game. Hit 30 balls and then played 21 chipping and putting.
  18. Worked with the 7i on the sim on the position at the top. 30 minutes
  19. 30 minutes working on getting the club on the toe line in the takeaway
  20. Practiced the takeaway on the simulator. Working on keeping the club on the tie line. Spent about an hour
  21. Practices hitting woods on the simulator focusing on a low draw. 45 minutes
  22. On the subject of handicapping individual parts of your game, the Arccos Golf technology (which I own) does a pretty good job of it. I think the Game Golf stuff (which I don't own), also does it. No clue what sort of formulas they use to determine it, but it seems to be pretty accurate.
  23. Played 21 with a friend to work on chipping. Good session and I chipped one in on him to win at the end, which made it even better. 30 minutes well spent.
  24. Bucket at the range. About 3 minutes on the release. Damn it's hot out there
  25. Went to the range and worked on releasing the club through impact. Really having a hard time getting it right, but hit a few that looked decent on video. All in all about 45 minutes worth of range time.
