Usually Ping allows retailers to drop the price of the older model. Call Discount Dans Golf for great Ping prices. I recently purchased a set of i15's from them and got a great deal. Once, the older clubs go to classic status, they cost a lot to order. I don't think the G10 will go classic right away though.

Cornbread, All military golf courses are run WITHOUT taxpayer money. They are run by Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR). The course can be profitable itself, but then the MWR can take their $$ for other activities and such. These ar called "non-appropriated fund" activities. They must not get much of a budget to maintain the courses. Fort Jackson, SC has 2 courses on base, and they are in great condition!

Birdsfoot is very nice, I played there 2 years ago. Also, The Links at Spring Church.

I played yesterday at an inner city course that I like in Cincinnati called Avon Field GC...
