  1. I actually caught up to them where they were setting up to tee off on at least 4 holes. They seemed to know what they were doing because their shots were halfway decent...
  2. There was no one in front of them, and as much as I didn't want to, I really really though about skipping the hole. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something.
  3. Alright, so today I showed up to play 9 holes at my home course by myself. No big deal. I show up to the first tee and notice there's a group ahead of me... so I wait, and wait. I hit the ball off the tea and blasted it and finished the hole. I show up to tee 2 where I caught up to the group who were on their second shots a quarter down the fairway. I sit and wait there at the tee respectfully, waiting for a wave to play through, which I never received. It got to the point where I set up the ball on the tee and made it apparent that I was ready to go, and was playing much faster than they were. I never got waved through until the 7th hole, which was very irritating. I was very respectful throughout the entire ordeal, and never did anything out of line. Is there something that I missed or that I should have done in order to let me play through?
  4. I honestly haven't had that effect at all. I do a lot of research on clubs before I buy them and I never read anywhere that this club was set up for a draw bias nor read a review with anyone having a draw-effect, and I wanted to make sure that it didn't because I like to keep my clubs neutral.
  5. ....i prefer the Eclipse movies jk
  6. I have yet to pay for any balls because my buddy works at a course and gives me tons of slightly used balls for free (mostly prov1s and v1xs)
  7. Honestly, I thought I'd have a problem with the way it would sit, but you don't notice it at all. The head looks small at address, but I liked that feature about the club. The area of the bottom face of the Raylor is less than a standard area of standard hybrid, so as long as it is addressed properly, it sits the same as any other club. And because of the hull-like bottom, and the decreased overall volume of the head of the club, there's noticably less drag through the grass and rough. This club just makes so much sense, and you should go try it out if you get the chance.
  8. Those are some beautiful clubs. I may have to look into those
  9. The ball seems so much more unpredictable on aerated greens. I hate it.
  10. How is the spin of the ball off those clubs? I've been looking that to replace my SW. I wasn't sure between that, Cleveland CG15, or the Callaway Jaws clubs
  11. I got my Taylormade Raylor 19* hybrid in today and I have absolutely fell in love! This club feels so perfect in every fashion and really does cut through grass like butter. Just with playing with it today I would seriously recommend this club to anyone! I got it off the pre-owned Callaway site nearly brand new in quality only $89 which I believe was an absolute steal. I can't wait to bring this out for 18 and also pair it up with the 22* club. Sorry, but I was just really excited about this club and I have no one to really share my excitement with. So what is everyone's favorite and least favorite club they have ever played with?
  12. Having been to and through Birmingham many times, that doesn't surprise me whatsoever. However I don't believe I could carry a pistol in my bag. (and I'm not red neck enough to keep my shot gun in the slot next to my driver lol)
  13. I have this issue too. I'm 22, 5'9" and 165lbs. I'm an avide runner, but I still maintain my muscle. Being a nutrition major, concerned with my health and physique. I've noticed that golf clothes seem to fit way to large, and it seems that the stores don't even carry my size, especially shorts. I wear 30" shorts, but stores only ever seem to carry 32s, so I have to just make that work. I just wish that companies had more product for people my size.
  14. I wonder if this is something that happens more often than one would suspect? I think if you were to do this you better be confident in yourself to outrun the staff and possibly the police haha. I don't know if any course around here are even worth attempting doing that though. If there was, it would make for a good story down the road. Edit: This isn't really something that I'd partake in, only because the reward is not worth the possible consequence.

    Pet Peeves

People who throw their clubs and yell. Its just so immature and ends up bringing down the attitude of the group. People who search waaaaayyyy entirely too long for a ball they lost in the high grass or in the woods.
  16. Hello everyone! I'm new to the game of golf and just wanted to sign up for a board that seemed to have a good aura and also willing to share its knowledge to help me out a little. I rode BMX for 6 years, and could no longer handle the injuries. I've been doing a lot of reading and also watching a lot of Golf Channel to put me on the right track. I currently have Cleveland TA-7 irons, R7 Limited driver, r7 Ti 3 wood, Taylormade Raylor 3 hybrid, and Odyssey White Hot XG #1 putter. I love how relaxing and freeing golf can be. Its great!

    Age

I'm 22. I'm new to golf and just started early this last spring.
  18. I'm new, so not losing a ball through 9 is an absolute great feeling for me.
  19. I need to work on hitting my fairway wood. For some reason its the only club that has been giving me a really hard time to learn how to hit.
  20. Full time college student, work at a large home improvement company, and do some part time hardscaping for my friends' business when they need it.
  21. I use a 1932 pre-WWII silver metal quarter as a marker. I've had it since I was a little kid, and its the only coin I've had that hasn't ended up in a Coin-Star haha
