  1. The first sentence was my answer. The second was reasons why. I was merely pointing out that he may have an advantage over Jack, not that the technology makes him better. I was just joining in on a subjective discussion. The poster who said we need to wait till Tiger's career is over is correct; I'm willing to bet when the jury comes back it will be Tiger who reigns supreme.
  2. I had a 2 year layoff before picking it back up a year or so ago. Initially I was up to my old routine, just goofing off with buddies. About 6 months ago I was sitting around watching golf and got the urge to hit the range. Since then, I go golfing 4 times a month (alone if I have to), and I went go the range once a week. It is all about working at it. I have had a very similar experience to acegolfer , I have taken my handicap down from 25.0 to 14.0 in the last 6 months. I am completely self taught, and I am now beginning to read everything I can get my hands on. As the OP said, it is a great feeling to play what I feel is good golf. I feel with a little more work I can get down to a 7-10 handicap in less than a year. Fingers crossed.
  3. Had a good chuckle when I read this comment. Well put.
  4. Hey all, just found these forums and I love them. Here is the bag I have put together over the past few months. I had been playing with a hand-me-down set from my father for the past 4 years or so. I have been playing for 8 years but only began to take it very seriously during the past year. The clubs I was playing with were Taylormade Supersteel irons, an old Firesole 5 wood, old cobra 3 wood, a wal mart driver, and an odyssey white hot # putter (the only club I really liked). I have since upgraded to a custom fit set. I now play Callaway x-22 Irons (4-A) half inch long, 2 degree upright; Cleveland 56 and 60 degree CG 14 wedges; Taylormade Firesole 5 wood, Taylormade Burner Plus 3 wood, Taylormade Tour Burner TP Driver, and my Odyssey White Hot #5 Putter. Let me know what you think. I look forward to reading what everyone plays and learning what everyone has to offer. Irons Wedges Woods Driver Putter
  5. Tiger. Longer, stronger, blessed to play with better technology.
  6. Hey everyone, this is my second post here and I am really excited I found this site. Last time out I shot an 86. I have recently purchased a new set of X-22's (4-A) and I love them. I shot a 44 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine. I hit two of the par fives in 2 but sadly walked away with only one birdie.
  7. Hi everyone. My name is Matt and I am a third year law student. I have been playing golf on and off for 8 years and became a regular player about a year ago. I have worked my handicap down from 25.0 to 14.0 in that past 8 months. I play golf about 2 days a week (I shouldn't but I do) and cannot get enough. I have been looking for a forum to join to read and discuss everything golf.
