  1. You make a valid point.
  2. [QUOTE=LarryK;40022] Then, of course, the "rational" mind takes over and says, "Heck, I didn't even do anything. Wonder what would happen if I let it all out?" :naughty I know exactly what you mean. That happens to me too. LOL
  3. Hey shin, i know what your syaing. dont get me wrong, im not saying your telling me to slow down, but the same instructor that told me to get stiff is telling me to slow down. i just dont get it. like i said, im not the smartest guyy around but i do have some sort of coomon sense, and this.... just doesnt make sense. again, she is the pro so i tend to believe what she tells me. but not to seem redundant.... im not comfortable.
  4. No i didnt get fit for my clubs. I had originally purchased regular flex shaft based on the fact i never really played and thought the was the "norm" for a beginner. I actually got a good deal on a set of graphite shaft regular flex clubs but 3 lessons in, the instructor said that based on my swing, i needed stiff. she said i swung with a lot of force and was too strong for the regular flex. Those were her words. so i sold that set and got my current set (in my signature). I just dont feel comfortable. It makes no sense to me. if i swing with force and lots of strength (which is why she suggested stiff shafts), why should i slow down my swing? at that point wouldnt i need to switch back to regular flex? might sound like a stupid question, but what can i say? maybe im a stupid kind of guy. LOL.
  5. I must agree with the practice with a purpose ideal. But you know, my old instructor made me switch to stiff flex and i have to tell ya, i dont feel comfortable. it seems like i have to "try" harder with the club. I'm wondering if im a regular flex guy instead of stiff. i want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but i just dont feel comfortable. Maybe its mental.
  6. in my case that is easier said than done.
  7. U know, come to think of it.... we never did find out what that one thing was!!!!!!! what a sham! I even saw part 2 and never did know what the heck he meant by that!!!! LOL
  8. LOL! i like this one! I definately have A HUGE problem when it comes to grip and swinging nice and easy. I usually perform my customary "death grip" where all my veins are popping out of my forearms and then proceed to want to annihilate the ball with my swing. I have realized that when i do address the ball and simply swing to "make contact", i hit the most beautiful shots. I just, for whatever reason, more often than not want to crush the ball. I cant seem to remember "nice and easy". Then again i am A.D.D. so by the time i address all i can register is "ball" "club" "HIT IT!!!!" My instructor always laughs. i must admit, it is pretty funny to setup, swing like a mad man and totally miss the ball!
  9. USELESS! no room for clubs!
  10. Just curious as to what everyone wpuld choose to be the 1 most inmportant tip they can pass along. Regards!!!!!!

  15. definately true. i like the clubs i have. do you think these are just as good? my signature has my set. u think i should switch??? the nicklaus look bad ass! just dont know if they are good. what would u do? i see you are a nicklaus fan. Thanks bud!
  16. LOL. Have to agree with you jr. cant say my golf dreams are that good either.
  17. Thanks jr. i called Nicklaus golf and they stated that the clubs are realtively new (only 2 weeks) and that the site has been updated with the new 2007 clubs except for the golden bear section. He said they belonged to the golden bear line (which made no sense since they say signature) so i'll take his word for it. As soon as he had tech specs he would email me those. I'll tell ya, i felt like a kid on xmas morning. i was so happy to get these. They look GREAT. dont know how they'll play, but the whole set is beautiful!
  18. Uh.... i was thinking of having one done. Now im not so sure. i havent heard many bad stories. Did the procedure go well? Is everything allright now? Dude u freaked me out! lol
  19. LOL. no i'm not dyslexic. The box has "Nicklaus Signature Series V18" on every side and each club has "Nicklaus V18" on them. The weights are fixed screw according to the box. Hadn't thought of calling customer service. Think I'll do that. I'll let ya know the outcome. Thanks!
  20. Hello all! I recently won a set of Nicklaus signature v18 clubs. I have done a search and cant find ANYTHING on these clubs. Its as if they are non existent. I did a search by upc and still nothing. They seem to contain fixed weight cartridges and irons consist of hollow and cavity backs. They look fantastic and are completely sealed and still in their original box. I would love to find any reviews or get ANY information before i even consider opening them. Thanks in advance for your help!!!!!!!! J
