Well to me these clothes are not necessarily classy, they are just appropriate. They are per the dress code which unfortunately is not enforced enough I think.

I wear nice shorts as well. I think they look nice and respectable but they are not classy in my opinion. They are what we would call golf attire around here. If you wearing nice shorts and a polo around here everyone assumes you either are going to or coming from a golf course.

I wouldn't say shorts are classy. I won't wear shorts out to a restaurant or any type of event such as that. Shorts at the courses I play here in Florida are the norm. Golf is a sport after all. When I lived in California (not far from Pebble actually) folks wore more pants but the weather was much cooler. Just curious, Weezy, do you play in a polo? You are downing them as well I see. I just don't get where you are coming from really.

Awesome. That is justice. I would not feel bad at all. Granted that is not correct behavior but I bet that guy will think twice before being rude or spitting on greens again. In the situation at hand however, I would say both parties could have done better but no one should ever assume that they have the right of way in some else's fairway. If you are playing so poorly that you can't keep it in your own fairway then you also should not be dictaing the actions of the guy who is rightfully there. On the other hand if they are already there and lining up thier shot then let them swing away. Right up until the moment they insist you wait on them. Then throw thier clubs in the water... I always make a point to be nice to people who I play with or around but if they come off rude from the start then to hell with them.

I voted for Tiger which kinda broke my heart. I was really torn on this one. I think Jack is still the greatest right now but I believe that Tiger will surpass his records. I say this all even though I find Jack a little arrogant (and rightfully so I guess) and well Tiger is just a mess right now. I have always admired Arnie for his blue collar roots.

I used to think that if you did not have a single digit handicap that you were not a good golfer. But since I play a lot by myself and get paired with others frequently, I see just how many poor golfers there are out there. I don't really consider myself good but maybe better than bad haha. I think I discovered I am a better than average player when my ball gets used more than often in scrambles. So I guess handicaps in the teens should be good and single digits are very good?

Living in Florida, I wear shorts most of the time (even in the winter). I have been wanting to try some pants made of some of the newer materials to see if they are any better. As far as shorts not being acceptable golf attire that is ridiculous. The heat index outside right now is 103*. How many pairs of pants do think are out on the course? I would bet it is in the single digits. I prefer the look of long pants actually but in this heat? Most of the pros would play in shorts if they were allowed by the way. I think course dress codes should certainly be enforced and it makes me mad to see starters let people out in t shirts and flip flops with their hats turned around backwards (and I do read each course's dress code). I have never read a dress code that states no shorts. How silly to say otherwise.
