  1. Thanks for this. When I hit a good shot with steel it is the overall feeling you described. Also going to one more club and a slower swing has worked for me. Think I'll stick with them.
  2. Is there still a big difference in etiquette between public and private courses? I've never played a private.
  3. Just watching 2 guys play the hole outside my house. One barefoot one shirtless. Previous group a guy urinated on the green. I'll call it in but not expecting anything. Etiquette? Not here on weekends.
  4. I don't buy the "not knowing " argument. It's more not caring.
  5. If my home course is any indication once the pro shop has their money they have little or no interest in what happens on the course.
  6. Once you allow music the argument is lost. The most I will say to a nearby golfer that I don't know is "can you turn it down?" I frame it as a question. Gives the guy a choice whether he wants to be a jerk or not.
  7. At the very moment when someone doesn't follow the etiquette? That's when you need a callout voice. Of course that rarely happens. Which leads to other things like preferred lies on Every shot and 5 foot gimmes.
  8. Just started thinking about switching to graphite. 77 years old. 20 handicap. Play at least 45 holes a week. Currently using Callaway Steelhead x-16 irons. Hitting them fine most of the time. Golf partner held my 7 iron and commented how heavy it felt compared to his graphite 7 iron. Wondering now if a lighter weight shaft would improve my game. Opinions?
