  1. want to put the v2 hybrid shaft in two 585h hybrids, but obviously can't get my hands on a .355 v2 shaft. Those who have switched the stock nv to a v2 what tip diameter did you go with, .335 or .370. Bore the hosel or shave the tip or insert. which method would be the most successful.
  2. well it didn't take Pressel long from my previous responce to win, lets see how the press and others respond now.
  3. done alot of searching and read quite a few reviews. wondering what other players have to say.
  4. a good drill that will help you feel where you should be at impact is set up to the ball like you would normally, start with a higher iron, 7 or higher. Set your weight on your left side with your hands slightly forward and lift your right heel of the ground. you should be on your right toes and have your right knee pointing towards the ball. Take the club back 1/4 or 1/2 or 3/4's keeping your weight stable and on your left side, and follow through to the same positon as you took the club back. This drill will not only help with weight shift but will improve your ball contact as well. give a try, hope it helps.
  5. I think Mike Weir will have a 3 to 4 shot lead going into sunday at an event this year and finish T3.
  6. Depends on the player, on any given event depending on rough length if your able to muscle the ball from the rough consistently then driver accuracy doesn't really matter. however, the pros are ridiculous ball strikers and that is why i would have to say driving accuracy would have to be most important. Starting the hole off right and putting yourself in the position to make the approach easier or being able to lay up to your perfect yardage to 600 yard par 5's is crucial. I do agree heavily that putts per gir is a deciding factor stat. however, the pros are all good putters, some are great but it is hard to be great for 4 days. Take Funk for example not the best putter, not the best short game, not the best long iron game, but a driving accuracy of over 80 % everytime he tees it up allows him to go low on a more consistent basis. While on the subject, shout out to Funk for the win this weekend bad back and all, wow!
  7. been using dynamic golds in my t-zoids forever now, but would like to try some new options available today with some of the newer irons.

can't go wrong with Oakley Half Jackets with the polarized lenses, great in most golfing conditions.
  9. couldn't agree with you more J.P. She is dealing with a lot of pressure. There was a recording a couple of months ago with Pressel and Leadbetter doing an instructional session for the golf channel. She was very shy but trusted her game to hit the shots. Its our viewings of situations like the one i am refering to that lets us see the real person. She has a little chip on her shoulder right now, but guess who else does TW. I feel that she has done the nice shy thing for too long and has seen minimal results. It's more or less just trying to trigger something within the body to reach or dig that little bit more to stay focused for 72 holes, not easy. She is a very good player, who is extremely fundamentally sound and once she wins her first, which will be sooner than later, she will express herself the way the positive statements in this thread discuss.
  10. I'd let her clean my grooves and wash my balls... tough competition with Faldo always around
  11. Vokey's Spin Milled Tour Satin
  12. To put it bluntly, NO... For instance when beginning your back swing (which is the most crucial stage of the entire swing) you are using your arms "Not your hands". You don't want to be picking the club up on the takeaway, your looking for a smooth, slow one piece motion which is setting up your tempo for the swing. Your hands in the golf swing are merely acting as hinges, which begin to set once the club reaches waist high. From there your just bringing the club to the top portion of your swing with you bigger muscles (shoulders) and your hands are already set/hinged. The downswing however does have a master side or dominant side. It should begin with a mental note of bringing the club down with the left arm from the top and the rest of the body parts should follow. Hope this helps
