  1. Day 97. More of the thoughtful wrist work from the practice plan. When I do it right I feel it in the follow through. Wanted to map shot zones but technical difficulties and the heat prevented that.
  2. Day 96. Technique work, working on the lead wrist after watching this: Followed by a few chips and pitches using the technique described in LSW. Remarkably effective.
  3. Day 95. Little bit of outcome work followed by technique work into the net. Also started reading LSW which should count towards this!
  4. day 94. Realized I’m getting a little too handsy. Worked on getting the club into good places and much shorter, slower swings to learn the movement.
  5. day 93. Chipping and practice getting a little more comfortable with longer irons
  6. Great to hear. I am looking forward to making a trip. Tough to find a day right now but hopefully soon
  7. Get the feeling Bryson is going to pull this off and win his second US Open
  8. 1:39 - he’s a right push late. He doesn’t really drive down from the right. 4:10 - you’re showing me what a faller does, not a driver. And the last thing in the world I want is a long drive guy falling, not driving. I don’t think you’re driving off your back leg. 14:50 - I want you to get to a point where you drive off the right leg If I were watching this on my own without instruction, I would try to push off the right/back leg more. I really like how Greg teaches though. Love the athletic movement approach. I think they also spoke a lot more about setup than is shown in the video based on some comments and he likely did a great job in connecting how the setup leads to the desired movement too.
  9. Looks like I didn’t hit submit on yesterday’s post. Oops. June 13. Day 91. Technique work into the net working on path. Little bit of time practicing ball beneath the feet lies too. June 14. Day 92. Technique work into the net working on face and path. Some chipping, where my technique doesn’t feel as comfortable as it did a couple weeks ago.
  10. The interview with Straka right after was just as bad, choppy and coarse. Smylie just isn’t an engaging interviewer.
  11. I found this session irritating but I wasn’t sure if it was just me being in a bad mood. Bryson isn’t a good commentator and honestly I don’t find the Smylie Kaufman broadcast moments interesting in the slightest at any tournament.
  12. Day 90. Played 9 before work. Speed did not translate onto the course. Learned a couple things about my direction though and had fun. Hit a couple good shots and a few not so good. Need to learn to save the doubles and triples and turn them into bogeys.
  13. Day 89. Did a Stack Cruiser session after a long break and crushed my previous best. Have been working out with kettlebells recently and that plus the evolvr technique work have really helped I guess. Then I did some technique practice. Went back to practicing setup using feels from the 30 day practice plan day 22 videos. Felt so much more comfortable over the ball.
  14. Interesting question. They played at a local course here, Cherry Hill, and a bunch of Tour Pros showed up (day after Canadian Open). Three tied the course record. https://www.usopen.com/2024/final-qualifying/canada.html
  15. Day 88. Two 10 minute sessions working on full swing technique into the net. Didn’t feel great. Not sure if I’m just off today or if it was because I’m learning to move slightly differently, which would be a good thing.
  16. Day 87. Played 9. Couple good shots but overall not a good round.
  17. Day 86. Some technique work followed by short game practice. Need to learn to flight the wedges down more.
  18. Day 85. 10 mins of technique work into the net after evolvr feedback. Felt good so I kept it short.
  19. Day 83. Spent a few minutes this morning working on technique in a little practice station. Tired from a workout last night so the movement started well but faded relatively quickly.
  20. Day 82. Went to the chipping green over lunch. As usual, I'm tentative and end up short. Trying to get comfortable with pitching/chipping closer to the hole or even a bit past. Technique was reasonable and outcome improved as I got more comfortable with distance. Will try to get in full swing technique work into the net this evening.
  21. Day 81 some technique work a little earlier, looking at grip and weight shift. Later on did some short game practice within 100 yards on the skytrak. It froze during a wedge matrix which was not ideal so i switched to target practice. Need to do this more often to get better at these partial wedges but should also probably do a short game lesson as my launch was quite high. Maybe it will help my full swing too
  22. Day 80. Back home. Technique work into the net focusing on wrist arch at impact with a station to help with path.
  23. day 79. Couple mins of mirror work on pressure shift and wrist angles.
  24. Day 78. Played 18. Hit a couple good shots but overall was not happy with how I was playing. Narrow course and my ballstriking just wasn’t good enough.
