My golf strategy isn’t very good so please accept this as me learning rather than challenging. For the second hole, is there a significant fall off to the left or penal rough? Why not hit a longer club over the bunkers (centred closer to fairway)? Half the time you hit fairway and the other half is a 70 yard shot from the rough?

Day 32. Got to the chipping green over lunch and spent 15 mins practicing. Need lots of practice here, especially bunker shots. Also wish I had read the low spinner thread earlier and tried that out. Spent another 15-20 minutes in the evening practicing evolvr iron technique into the net.

Listened to Joe on the Sweet Spot while driving to work and it reminded me about this thread. This thread is great and the “how to” is much easier to understand than other sources I’ve seen trying to explain it. Tried it indoors into a net but will need to give it a shot with a launch monitor or outside on the practice green.

day 31. Lots of technique work. Reminding myself how to practice well. also picked up a set of junior clubs for my kids. Excited to have them start learning the game

April 14 - Day 30. Woo hoo! 30 days straight. Stack return to form (flared my front foot and it helped a lot) followed by slow technique work using evolvr drills.

Day 29. Nice out this afternoon so I spent a bit of time chipping off gnarly lies, pretty happy with the results overall. That was followed by full shots into the net with more work on recent Evolvr drills. Learning new movement patterns is hard

Day 28. April 12 - 20ish mins doing drills from my latest evolvr session. Slow, lots of rehearsals to feel the new movement. Lots of poor contact and some video for feedback on the movement. Lots of learning ahead.

I’m glad Mike didn’t quit and good on him for posting. In the past he’s talked about losing shots with his short game and it seems that’s the area he needs the most practice. I still think he’s playing golf swing and not golf. Great on the range but it doesn’t translate. Maybe he needs to read LSW?

Day 27. First go at Evolvr drills while watching the Masters. Then some chipping that I just couldn’t get going properly today.

Day 26. Few minutes of technique work followed by a Stack return to form

Day 25. Few minutes of full swing practice. Managed to go slightly faster after initial slow swings to start. Then a couple mins of chipping to finish.

Day 24. Full swing practice with the skytrak. Too soon for outcome and needed to turn it off and slow down.

Should be shade 12 or greater to provide enough protection if you’re using a welding shield. -

Day 23. Beautiful day out today. Spent 20 or so minutes in the back yard working on chipping off of different terrible lies. Found I got under it + club slowed down and I often left myself short when the ball was sitting up a bit in thicker rough (and I’m afraid of blading it). Lots more practice needed!

I would attend for free. I tried to go the event in Mayakoba a couple years ago but couldn’t get a free ticket. The logistics of getting there then made it not worth it.

In the path of totality. With the number of workers we’re expecting, I’m having to spend the day working in the emergency response just in case. -
Day 22. Spent about 20 minutes hitting full shots. First half was technique work with lots of rehearsals, slower swings and trying to implement a feel. Then the second half was with the SkyTrak seeing how that translated and the ball flight was much better. Don’t own this movement yet but hopefully on the right path (hah)

Day 21. Full swing technique work. Filmed my swing and it reminded me to get back to basics.
