  2. That's a ProLaunch and it's X-Flex.
  3. Of course they do, but the original Grafalloy BLUE (not ProLaunch) is not in stock anywhere. Trust me, I've looked. I'm just hoping someone has one sitting in their basement somewhere! Also, it could be possible to be in a warehouse of a website somewhere. Thanks!
  4. I am stumped. I've been trying to find a Grafalloy Blue Stiff Uncut .335 shaft to put in my 905R head and can't find one anywhere. If anyone has one or can point me in the right direction for one it would be much appreciated! I've been stalking eBay but haven't found one in many months. Sometimes the "TOUR" version comes up, but they are much heavier and stiffer than the traditional ones. Thanks in advance to the best community out there!
  5. I currently have 7 people in. Growing rapidly though. Should be a fantastic WGC this year!
  6. Bracket can be found here: http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/302529/WGC-Match-Play-Contest-2011-Bracket-BLANK-xlsx.html
  7. Golf fans - I really haven't found a good site for this year's WGC Match Play Competition betting. Anyways, I created an Excel Spreadsheet and am looking for more to join. Since I will be playing, I have sent my bracket to one of the other players so there's no confusion. If you are in, please reply here and send $20 via Paypal to silkrower@hotmail.com (send money, personal, money owed) and a blank email to silkrower@gmail.com . I will send you the blank excel spreadsheet asap and you will have until the first match starts to return (Wednesday EARLY morning). Multiple entries will be accepted (3 max) Scoring: Correct pick for round 1: 1 point Correct pick for round 2: 2 points Correct pick for round 3: 4 points Correct pick for round 4: 6 points Correct pick for round 5: 8 points Correct pick for round 6: 10 points (does NOT include the 3rd/4th place match) There are also bonus points for correctly predicting 1st - 4th: 1st - 12 points 2nd - 9 points 3rd - 6 points 4th - 3 points Tiebreakers: (in the Excel sheet) 1. 8. The V2 Shaft is a better, lower ball flight due to the stiff tip. But make sure you get the heavy FW shaft, like 90 grams or something...the NV is great too, but the launch is just a little high for me. BACK TO FW Woods, I have an old Callaway Steelhead Plus w/a Grafalloy ProLite FW shaft in it, but I just changed to Titleist 906f2 w/stiff V2 shaft...dead straight off the tee every time...no matter how hard I swing, love this CLUB!!!
  9. Just got back from Florida, and it was nice to play seeing as I hadn't since early November here! Here were my scores this week long with tees Tiburon Gold Course (Tips 7288y) 38-38-76 Tiburon Black Course (Tips 7005y) 38-38-76 Naples Grande Golf Club (Tips 7102y) 38-34-72 Windstar on Naples Bay (Tips 6692y) 36-38-74 Raptor Bay (Tips 6702y) 38-36-74 I was just happy to get out and play, not to mention it was absolutely beautiful outside every round!!! But, I definitely played well, just didn't putt too good.
  10. This is a great tool Girlie! Many people rely on others to give them swing tips, etc... So, I encourage everyone to use their digital camera, have someone help with the video recording, and tape your swing. From here, I also find the program called V1 Home to be extremely useful. Just download it and you'll understand. You can upload your video and easily have your video on your screen, along with different options to look at your swing, draw lines, and even compare yours side by side with a pro's.
  11. woods over stenson stenson over baddeley cambell over toms ames over cink rose over howell poulter over immelman casey over micheel ogilvy over fasth
  12. Mizuno's are a hit...for good reason, solid clubs I thought I'd like the Ping S59's, I didn't...like the S58 though Other than that, Titleist makes an OK iron for blades, Taylor Made will never be in the realm of a good stick (personal preference)
  13. I've had I3 blades in my bag since what...2000 I believe...I CANNOT get rid of them for the life of me... My friends say they are made of some freakish material where the weighting just explodes the ball....They are right, I have never found the distance and control with ANY other iron on the market, including Ping's S59's...I would like to try the S58's though. Irons are ALL preference though...what I like and may use could be the exact opposite of you. Getting fit during DEMO days are the sure way to be hitting the right clubs for your game. Hope this helps!
  14. the fact of the matter is that Titleist had the CAHONES to upgrade their best, most advanced, and most technologically advanced golf ball. That being said, these balls are going to be the SH*T!!! Love the line, seamless design like the Bridgestone's are a great improvement, and I will pay whatever Titliest wants because the difference will be noticeable...if not, i'll still be playing ProV1x's anyways.
  15. sorry guys...For the pro's it's a frickin nightmare... http://www.jimrome.com/home.html AT&T; take...agreed
  16. Prov1x or the NXT family...titleist man... That's my preference, plus these balls have a harder cover so you will get the "sound" Or you could just hit range balls...those are pretty hard :o)
  17. Everyone can attest to a ball preference being your OWN preference...I mean, if you can't seem to find CONSISTENCY with a ball, something tells me it isn't the ball. For me, it will never be anything other than the PROV1x For you, it may be the NXT tour?!? I like the B330S as well. I mean, you need to stick with one once you like it (not switching them out all the time), then you won't think about it, and you can worry about other things mentally, like, sinking your next putt...
  18. yes, seamless cover technology is all i've heard...but all in all they will still be called PROV1's and PROV1x's...just updated like they have in the past...no extreme changes considering the motto "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
  19. I once bought a satin chrome spin milled...my lord, I'd have to throw the ball 10 yards behind the cup to get the ball even close with the backspin. all in all, that would be the finish I like on the Titleist wedges, however, I play Cleveland because the Titleist's are weighted too heavily in the clubhead for my liking...
  20. yeah, i'm a fan of both together...my favorite story was when I was playing a practice round for a tournament, I was at a par 3 where the teebox is cut back in the woods. I had a girl with me just walking along, and she preceded to unzip my pants and things got a little out of control. Nobody could see us, well, that's until the PRO of the course came cruising up on a cart to bring a playing partner out to join up with me. Needless to say, we were caught in the act and the pro still doesn't look at me the same... Sorry to the kids on the forum...I didn't get into details, so hopefully my post is appropriate! Here's to enjoying much more of both in the future... If I were to choose though, I would choose golf...
  21. living in Minnesota I can attest to a lot of experience in this field... Here are my tips...If the temps get below 60 degrees Don't leave your clubs in the car the night before a round Don't leave your balls in the car the night before a round Both can have a dramatic effect on distance and control. As for distance loss in the cold, if I take the steps mentioned above, I only see a change in distance if it's under 50 or 55 degrees. It will tend to play one club more, but we're talking 50 degrees, not 60 or 65 like some play in and think it's freezing! But, you have to take into effect the air in your area, because I am speaking for MN air, not Colorado, or AZ. Nothing beats a late fall round when it's snowing outside...my record temperature playing a round... 37 degrees with snowflakes everywhere!
  22. good call in pointing a little left of your target and opening your stance...your knees should be bent and your body still throughout the shot as for the club and ball position, open your clubface just a bit, and put the ball a bit forward in your stance, not BACK! Back is for fairway bunkers so you hit the ball first...but not on greenside bunkers. Now, you've got your ball, body, and club in position, when you swing at the ball, make sure you make a full follow through. I see the issue very often where people just hit the ball and don't finish the swing. This will help get the ball up, and also land soft...good luck!!
  23. putting is the key to confidence in golf. So that's what I go for in a putter. If I'm having issues with my putting stroke, I'll practice until the sun goes down, but I won't switch putters. I was fit with my Scotty last year, and it drastically changed my confidence on the greens. My lie and loft were off by a few degrees, and now the pure roll is absolutely perfect with my stroke, so I won't be switching anytime soon. I prefer blade putters, so much like Tiger, I don't plan on getting a newer one anytime in the near future. He's had his newport FOREVER, and it shows because he is very confident in it. So my challenge to each of you is this, if you are having issues with your putter, go get "fit" with it at your local shop...you will get back that confidence you once had with that particular putter, and it will last much longer in your bag! Happy trails!
  24. if you're simply playing an approach, just put the ball in the middle (maybe a little back) of your stance. This will help the ball check up and give the desired trajectory. The most important thing to think about is your stance. If your feet are too narrow (close together) you will get a very low, almost line-drive type shot. On the other hand, if they are spread apart too much, you can balloon your shots and they won't go as far as they should. Just hit the club on the range, and don't get too beat up if you're not hitting perfect shots from the f/w with that club. It's not the easiest to hit, and some club's bounce angles aren't meant to be hit from the f/w with ease. Swing nice and easy and let the club do the work. Good luck!
  25. Seriously...what Is This Pointless Thread Showing? It's Obvious Everyone Has Their Own Taste In Clubs, So Let's Talk About Something Worthwhile!!!!
