  1. I would like to say Ernie Els But no, I'm in this "junior golf foundation" in the club and he teaches about five other people. I don't mean increasing resistance in the hips, I meant just preventing the hips from turning towards the target until the golf ball has been struck. Thanks again for the help so far :D
  2. Yup, I agree. He has told me to keep my hips from turning towards the target until after I've hit the ball. It's kind of difficult to describe as I'm relatively new to golf and I'm not too sure off all the terms like "hip rotation" and what not. He has shown me what I did wrong with his body as the "model" though.
  3. Thanks for the advice! What I think he means is that in my "anticipation of hitting the ball", I turn my body towards the target before making contact with the ball.
  4. I've got a swing problem. According to my golf instructor, I raise my back foot up before my clubhead reaches the ball. As a result, my whole body turns and my clubhead reaches the ball slightly open causing the ball to go 70-80y with my 7i. I've tried keeping my back foot down while swinging but I feel like it's hampering my swing after i've made contact with the ball. Any advice and drills that you guys have that can help? Thanks in advance.
  5. Somehow, I don't find that comment fair. I seriously doubt that crying shows no class, although you do have a point about her immaturity. Perhaps she is just VERY emotional.
  6. I disagree. Although I do like Phil Mickelson, sometimes, it is possible to see that his smiles are obviously fake. I don't know how to explain it or break it down but sometimes you just know.
  7. I was having a pretty horrible game. 15th hole par 3. Hit my tee shot so fat the ball barely passed the ladies tee and shanked my next shot to about 50 yards out. Took out my pitching wedge and swiped wildly at the ball. It flew up to the elevated green, took one bounce and went in for par. First time I smiled that day =D
  8. Thanks! The helped alot.
  9. Hi, I'm new to golf. I started roughly a month ago and I'm not very good. Firstly, I have to ask, what are the cons of a straight back full swing. In a normal swing, the clubhead goes from square at 6o'clock to open when it's parallel to the ground and on the downswing, back to square. Well, what are the cons of hinging the right wrist immediately from the start of the swing, causing the clubhead to be "square" throughout the backswing. My next question is that according to my golf instructor, I've been using a "right strong hand grip" and that that was no good. In this grip, my left thumb(i'm a righty) is not completely covered and my right palm is leaning towards the right side of the grip. Can anyone tell me the difference? Thanks in advance.
  10. Definitely Tiger. A magnificent short game he has.
