That is funny stuff!!! I love it. Did this guy play a lot of pro-ams with the pro there? HaHa

I actually have been working very hard on the straight back and straight through putting stroke and it has helped me. Whether or not it is the best or not I have no idea. Use what works for you is the philosophy I use. The last few years I actually putted a lot like Billy Mayfair. I was too lazy to fix it, and I became so used to it, that I actually putted pretty well using it. It was very ugly for my playing partners to watch and they always had comments. Plus I couldn't read the greens based on what someone elses ball did because of the odd stroke.

I bet her husband was pissed when he had to sleep in the dog house......lmao

Hey Brit, That sounds like a lot of fun. Is your boy going to be able to carry you though? He is a good stick but you gotta weigh about 170lbs or so........lol Have fun and I hope you guys kick butt.

So do they have 90% or 80% tournys out there? In bowling the leagues always have a set up for example----90% of 220 or something. I think I have only played in one golf tourny here that wasn't 100%. I will have to look into that. Thanks for the info.

That's very impressive. I used to golf with a guy in Alaska who was from Ar-kansas and it doesn't surprise me a bit you shot that well...... How's the golfing down there?
-
Makes ya wanna run out and play another tourny that he is in huh? Why don't the pro's at these courses do something?

It isn't golf related but I have a Black Lab and this is a great joke. Hope everyone enjoys. THREE LABRADOR DOGS Three dogs are sitting in the waiting room at the vet's when they strike up a conversation The black Lab turns to the chocolate Lab and says , 'So why are you here?' The brown Lab replies, 'I'm a pisser. I piss on everything....the sofa, the curtains, the cat, the kids. But the final straw was last night when I pissed in the middle of my owner's bed.' The black Lab says , 'So what is the vet going to do?' 'Gonna cut my nuts off,' comes the reply from the chocolate Lab. 'They reckon it'll calm me down.' The black Lab then turns to the yellow lab and asks , Why are you here?' The yellow Lab says , 'I'm a digger. I dig under fences, dig up flowers and trees, I dig just for the hell of it. When I'm inside, I dig up the carpets. But I went over the line last night when I dug a great big hole in my owners couch.' 'So what a re they going to do to you?' the black Lab inquires . 'Looks like I'm losing my nuts too', the dejected yellow Lab says The yellow Lab then turns to the black Lab and asks ,'Why are you here?' 'I'm a humper,' the black Lab says. 'I'll hump anything. I'll hump the cat, a pillow, the table, fence posts, whatever. I want to hump everything I see. Yesterday, my owner had just got out of the shower and was bending down to dry her toes, and I just couldn't help myself. I hopped on her back and started hammering away' The yellow and chocolate Labs exchange a sad glance and say, 'So, nuts off for you too, huh?' The black Lab says ....'No, I'm here to get my nails clipped.

If someone is going to notice a ball being hit up on them then they are lolly gagging and not paying attention to getting through the hole. Agree? And if a 8 handicap is waiting for the green to clear that is one thing but if a 30 handicapper is waiting it is BS. Know your ability and play to it.
-
Very good swing. Are you always closed to the target? Meaning that it seamed that you have your front foot closer to the ball in an attempt to draw it posssibly? Just wondering and maybe you were aimed over there. Very good swing for 2 years of playing. Have a great one.
-
I never feel like I am being hit into if the ball is rolling. So if they are at my limit and the only way it will get to them is on the roll than I go for it. With that being said if there is a chance that the ball could fly through them then no way. You are right safety first. And I have had people come and complain because my ball landed 10-20 yards behind them. I guess if people don't understand the rules, they will make their own up.

Its not the size of your spike, its the motion of the ocean.....lol But seriously I liked the way they stuck your feet in place but course conditions are many times better. Plus if you had a really bad lie you could hurt yourself with steel spikes cuz your feet would absolutely not give......lol....lots of twisted ankles.

Couldn't agree more. I have been playing this game for 30 years and I still feel that it is a "Game". There was a time when I was really serious about it but I still didn't mind juniors or slow play. I lived in AK for 4 years and you want to experience slow play just go out to Eagleglen GC on a nice day. Man 6 hour rounds and waiting lines to the starter shack. It was freakin amazing.....lol Still one of my favorite GC's of all time.

Yeah that lucky sucker is going to play all day at Burley. He called me to rub it in too. I will PM you with my cell but I will be out of town from Wed through Wed. Oregon coast bound with the family.

I wouldn't talk about you Brit. You are my brother. Why would you think that this was about you? There have been a lot of lucky fellows around the last few years, I just hope that I can be so lucky. I think that the odds of someone that is a 10 shooting even par is like 1500 to 1 but don't quote me its probably higher. Have a great day Brit and remember that I wouldn't talk about anyone in particular without naming them. What was your handicap in that club championship anyways?

I agree totally. One thing that has helped me a lot is to stand behind the ball and take a couple practice strokes while looking at the hole. Try to visualize the line and then trust the stroke that your mind created while looking at the hole. It really helped me with my speed. Don't leave them short or blow them by anymore. Just throwing that out there. Have a good one -
Heck guys I shot a 50 the other day..............lol.....................Then I made the turn and shot 38............lmao

Thanks for all the good information. I am going to use all of it starting this friday in my junior program. Keep it coming I really appreciate all the help. I have to toot my horn a little. I am very proud to announce that I had a Freshman girl that I have taught for a couple years qualify 3rd for districts this year. Just had to pass that along because we don't get very many female golfers in our area.

Thats the kind of crap that goes on around here. It doesn't help golf when someone cheats and wins. The course pro's should do something or there tourny's will suffer because noone likes knowing they don't have a chance of winning. I played in the same flight with the guy that shot 69 last year in this tourny. So I went into the clubhouse and asked the pro for my money back....lol I said that I was having a hard time believing that the 10 handicap that shot 3 under wasn't going to win again......By the way he (the sandbagger) played terrible and got second. Good stuff

Not sure where you are going with this. Can you clarify so that I understand?
-
That is awesome. Profilers..........LMAO I'm gonna use that one dude. We got some profilers on this forum......just doesn't take any scores on here......lol

I have been building clubs for 15 years and honestly never used one. This is a good thread. I am very interested in seeing what you find out. I did want to share a recent experience with you though, if that is ok. I put the TT lite shafts in a set I have and then got a screamin deal on some Project X 5.5's. So I pulled the TT's out and put the X's in. Holy Cow it was the best thing I have ever done. Have you tried the X's? Just thought I would add that.

Lets revisit the Sandbaggers. Maybe we need to include the reverse sandbaggers. My Definition: A person that only puts in there lowest scores. Doesn't really hurt anyone but themselves. Funny stuff...

I know that there are a lot of people out there with Tats. Even the country clubbers are getting Tats. In fact I am a country clubber and I have em.

I feel your pain brother. I agree with justme and say play your game and try not to get frustrated. Come on out to Idaho and golf with an old hack......lol Dent, One question for you, or two.....lol Did you start with junior clubs? If so, when did you switch to adult clubs?
