  1. Driver- 285 2 Iron Hybrid- 250 3 Iron Hybrid- 235 4 Iron Hybrid- 220 4 Iron- 210 5 Iron- 200 6 Iron- 190 7 Iron- 175 8 Iron- 165 9 Iron- 155 PW- 145 50 degree- 135 58 degree- 110 I hit shots today for the first time since I had shoulder surgery for a Torn Labrum in October, it had been an issue for a few years. Used the PW and 50 degree, was hitting them 10-15 yards further on the range than I was before the surgery. These numbers will probably get a bump
  2. well we agree then that improper alignment can cause a slice. I don't doubt most slicers do that, but I know that isn't the case for me. \ | \ | \ | the slashes are where my feet are lined up. straight lines are where I'm aiming the club face when I do this my down swing follows the angle of my feet, and cuts across the ball.
  3. Agreed, starting the downswing with the hips really helps get the club properly on plane. Make sure your alignment is correct, my slice occurs when I'm not squared up properly. I'll have my legs pointing further left then the arms and club at address. As a result my swing is forced outside to in. If you line up with your right foot a couple inches behind the left it can help with a slice.
  4. agreed, get the more comfortable club for YOU I much prefer my 2H to a 5 wood. Distance isnt the issue for me as I hit the 2H 240-255yds or longer if it's off a tee. I find its better out off the rough and easier to shape. SVTgolfer prefers a 5 wood, he's not wrong, it's the better club for him.
  5. I can concur with injury causing inconsistent play.... I had a torn labrum, it got bad enough that I had surgery in October... Before that, back in 08 and 09... it was a matter of adjusting to how my shoulder was set that day, sometimes I could find the swing, other days it wasn't there
  6. both, I saw 2 swings from less than 10 feet away and another where you were like 75 yards back from the tee and had the shots almost going over your head. His hands are so high at the top of the swing and his left arm is at an unreal angle, very active legs also The sound his ball made going over my head was unlike any other golfer I saw that day To be honest nearly every golfer I saw had similar ball flight, the ball looks like it continually rises and then drops right at the end, just a matter of how high and how far.
  7. I saw him the Barclays, last Saturday. Hit his second shot on 17 left of the green, and jokingly remarked "thats not good." On 18 you need to hit a slight fade with the driver, Bubba hit it dead straight putting him in the left rough and he got PISSED...temper is still there. His swing in person makes your jaw drop
  8. Jack... 45 top 3's in majors
  9. Had 3 great shots last time I played 335 yard drive on a par 5, had only 205 to the pin but I screwed up my second shot Had 210 into a green, put it within 15ft with a hybrid 5 iron for a birdie chance 135 from the right rough, 3rd shot on a par 5, used a 1980's Wilson Tour staff blade 9 iron to 20 ft
  10. without knowing anything about your swing, it sounds like you're speeding up your tempo and trying to hit the ball too hard because its a tee shot. Since your tempo is sped up your swing doesn't have time to square up the clubface, and you're making contact with the clubface still open. Just slow it down, try and pretend its not a tee shot.
