  1. Hey, I'm a young un, and I LOVE Caddyshack! One of the best movies of all time! (Although, Happy Gilmore is also one of my favorites!) My dad raised me right: Caddyshack all the way!
  2. Jayhawks all the way, baby! But I wouldn't be upset if Roy and NC won the whole thing. We miss him back in Kansas! That was a sad, sad, day, but he's a great coach, and I am sure it was the best decision for his family as well as himself. Roy Rules!
  3. Can I pick two? My short game is just..... not good... it's not horrible, but i DEFINITELY waste lots of shots on the green and mostly chipping... I almost always over shoot the pin when i'm chipping...
  4. WHOA... i couldn't see the picture when i was at work... that is one heck of a blister! I still say, moleskin and neosporin will help.. and perhaps the moleskin will help you not develop such a nasty one again! I am impressed!
  5. Awesome. Thanks for the good ideas, everyone. I plan on starting this weekend! (perhaps a little sick day is in order on Friday? cough, cough)
  6. Try Moleskin on the blister as well... make a donut shape the size of the blister, and place it on there with some neosporin and then wrap it up really well... I recommend the painless athletic tape from Band-Aid (but put a little piece of real athletic tape on there to keep it in place). and I agree with NM... something is wrong with your grip, unless your glove doesn't fit properly... perhaps it's too big and rubbing on your hand??

    Tee Height

I picked the bottom of the ball at the top of the clubface... judging from the results, maybe that's why I hate teeing off with my driver! Perhaps I will try the "center of the ball/top of clubface", since that seems to be the winner thus far!
  8. Okay, now I'm not quite sure where you got that I cheat at golf. I did not realize that I chose the easily-offended, overly-sensitive board. I was joking around with you guys, but I'll be more "serious" with you all next time. He got his answer, he won his $100, why can't we joke around now? Last time I checked, golf was a game, meant to be fun to those who participate. I didn't say that everyone should cheat, and I most certainly didn't say that I cheat. Get over it. I am a big fan of the rules. They are there for a reason. I WAS JOKING AROUND WITH YOU ALL because you were getting bent out of shape about something that is a matter of looking it up in a rule book. What I meant by a "rules"/"real world" distinction, which I apologize if it was not clear to all of you, was that there is a distinction between just playing a round with your friends and playing in a tournament. I apologize for thinking that you all would not fly off the handle and go psycho over one sentence that doesn't mean anything now, especially since he has his answer and $100. I totally agree, Clay, that if there's a wager on the game, you should play by the rules, and if you don't know the rules, then ask. I will be sure to over-explain the rest of my emails to all of you so as to not offend in the future.
  9. Dude... relax... I was just making light of the conversation... No need to be so rude.
  10. My mom plays in the footjoy sandals, and she loves them. Especially when it's super hot outside. (Secretly, she's just trying to get rid of her sock tan!) I think I might invest in a pair this summer. And the fact that you called them "Mandals" is the funniest thing ever... I love it!
  11. I am trying to get back into the swing of things, literally, and I am planning on, as soon as the snow melts, hitting the driving range 2-3 times a week to get my swing back. I was just wondering what everyone's "routines" are when they hit the range? Just want some tips on what are good "warm up" clubs, etc. Thanks!
  12. When I was twelve (about 16 years ago now... had a hiatus from golf, but picking it back up full time this year!), I teed off on a par 3, and no lie, it landed about 3 feet from the hole... the worst part: I two putted! terrible, just terrible... but man, that was a great shot! I thought my dad was going to pass out!
  13. That rule is good to know! They taught us in Junior Golf (WAAAAY back in the day...) that you had to wait for everyone to get on the green, and the person off the green went first... HMMM... And no need to get snippy about all of it... there is always a "real world"/"rules" distinction!
  14. My goal for 2007 is simple: Start playing golf again! I finally have the free time to devote to golf, and I can't wait for the snow that is currently falling outside my window to melt! Baby Steps here: 1) get to the driving range twice/three times a week this Spring 2) play one round per week as soon as it is consistently warm, until then, play a round weather permitting! Can't wait for Spring!!
