  2. i finally caved in and bought a foam ball to place in between my forearms due to me rolling #3 so much on the backswing, i have been doing half way back and half way through shots for the past couple days. I have the urge to start making full swings but i know that i don't have this piece ingrained in my muscle memory and must keep at it till its automatic, i know this piece will make the downswing pieces better. I can only imagine what Tiger and the pro's go through when they do a swing change
  3. been awhile since i posted, finally got to go out to the range. Worked on getting trail elbow softer and slightly bent, but looks like im not getting enough up on the swing due to lack of wrist cock. I tried to feel like i just cock the club up straight vertical, hopefully i can iron this out before the start of the golf season in chicago.
  4. thats what i suspected, what pieces help with turning the hips on an angle? is it pretty much how the knees work that give the hip slant
  5. by any chance can one over turn the hips on the backswing? how much hip degree turn is usually perscribed
  6. Looks like having the handle slightly forward and up helps with the right arm
  7. so have been coming up with a routine to get that arm feeling the right arm softer.... pretty much like Charlie Wi's routine address the ball with my left hand on the grip only then bring in the right arm... hopefully i can get some video tomorrow it felt pretty good and less around.... its still going to take some time getting use to since bad habits are hard to break. Thanks for the video MV definitly going to bookmark to remind me everyday lol
  8. Ahh ok... looks like my right shoulder lowers slightly. . And the first move is to start tilting to get the hands to start their ascend
  9. So it's more of setting up with the elbow slightly bent and elbow closer to the ribcage
  10. Will the distance between the elbows increase when I soften and slightly bend the right arm
  11. So been practicing and looks like i haven't been making progress with my arms. should the right arm folding blend in with the rate i turn... here are some videos.. hit it pretty good but my backswing is making me sick... lol
  12. For someone that has an overactive right arm, would you have them feel like they are just only releasing #4?
  13. so been working hard on the swing.. still taking it to much around with no up... currently trying to ingrain what mvmac has recommended with just tilting and extending. Also looks like im using too much of the turning piece which doesn't give me a chance to cock the wrist, and help me ascend the club up plane. Hope to post a video once i get use to the tilt and extend, with out the feeling of turning
  14. So at address there should be a slight bend in the right elbow... then add some bend on the backswing to attach the upper part of my arm to the side of the rib cage....
  15. Looking for some help and tips... thought i have been doing things right and looks like i haven't... I've been Playing Golf for: 6 years My current handicap index or average score is: 85 My typical ball flight is: high pushes The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: here and there hook Videos:
  16. for some reason i tend to get lazy during the middle holes and just slide with no rotation blend in
  17. would it be safe to say if rotation wasn't blended in with the sliding of the hips it would cause the lead leg to straighten prematurely and lead to early extension
  18. i feel your pain... had to deal with this at a 4 man scramble tournament with my uncle. Its a large group of professionals, they accused us of cheating when we turned our scores in last year. Their defense was that it was impossible to read the greens that day. So this year i asked the guy running the tournament again to put us in front of them so they can watch the show
  19. any chance you can post a video, could be a few things... i would guess the the left shoulder is doing while #4 and #1 are releasing... if it starts to pull away from the wall or shoot up to soon you won't be able to release #4 and #1 and will cause you to dump your wrist angles to get the club head to the ball.
  20. ive ditched the thought of keeping my head down.... ive gone to keeping my head still and keeping my eye line constant...
  21. Dropped my handicap by 8... hitting more fairways and have a constant shot shape.... i need to work on distance control from 150 and in... hopefully i can reach 2-3 handicap next year
  22. Nice work lefty... we should get together and play a round... i live northside of the city
  23. Need tips or drills with keeping my shoulders closed or staying in left tilt while i shift weight to the front foot... have a terrible habit of coming out of my left tilt to early and not able to release #4 and #1
  24. The book and dvd are just foundations for the Pattern.... trying to find a certified instructor to monitor what you are doing is highly recommended and possible change your mind even more...
  25. i have a question... so assuming someone looks good at p4.... when the hips start to slide from the top are the accumulators starting to release.... have a buddy starting to convert to the system but looks like shoulders get to vertical instead of turning the shoulders on a constant circle
