  1. I saw this, too. I thought I was imagining it but it was white and it came out as he was picking his ball. I kind of brushed it off like I was seeing things, but now it seems more people picked up on it...I hope it was by accident, because that is just plain nasty if it was intentional.
  2. Congrats and good luck!
  3. Try Amazon.com...I'm not even sure Blockbuster has this anymore. It was released in 1988.
  4. That sounds like fun and I just may try that on one of those twilight rounds I have planned. I might switch out that 5 iron with my Cleveland 5i halo though.
  5. How about this swing being "smooth"... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYnlo-dwPXs
  6. Don't forget Fred Couples...smooth swing!
  7. At least it is the lite version
  8. I didn't want to say anything, but I wondered how long it would take before you switched the satin for the black pearl. I would have done the same thing...seeing that one polish finish against a sea of gunmetal would have forced me to do the switch, too. Now all your bases are covered
  9. The only caveat I would add is if my foursome isn't keeping up with the group ahead of me. At that point, I ask if my group if they don't mind playing ready golf until we catch up...
  10. renefjr...that is funny out loud avatar!
  11. I actually had a good experience @ Edwin Watts as far as getting fitted properly (swing speed, ball speed, spin rate, ball flight, blah blah blah) and I actually waited a week to make a decision. I must have spent about 45 minutes getting fitted and another 1/2 hour deciding on what options I had. The other big golf outfitter in my area is Golfsmith and they were just as attentive to my brother-in-law when he bought the FTi. Plus he liked the 90 days and 90% trade option...which I like too and wish EW had that as a program. You might want to go to your local big chain at off peak hours, too.
  12. You probably need a stiff to x-stiff shaft with a higher kick point (lower trajectory) and lower torque (for faster swing speeds)...but all this can be done properly if you get fitted properly.
  13. I wouldn't mind if you joined our group...just play ready golf, drop a ball instead of taking prolonged search party for a lost ball, and consider it as practice and not worry about the score. If the group is not cool with that, chalk it up to a bad draw that you landed with a group of arses. However, I think the majority of people you hook up with will be OK. Good luck and have fun!
  14. I'm a peanut butter twix guy, but they end up melting by the turn in Florida.
  15. That's interesting about the chocolate milk...in what way? I'd go with the banana, too.
  16. Thanks for the feedback...I just find myself able to control direction and trajectory (esp. on windy days and on tight hazard lined courses) with my hybrids (3i and 1i halos). Granted, I'm about 130-150yds (on average par 4's) from the green, but that is still a manageable distance for me. Even if I'm 180-210 yds away, the 5i is still in my bag. I played Poppy Hills 2 yrs ago (which is a tight course) and I was gripping and ripping my driver...bad idea. I didn't have the hybrids back then...I would have enjoyed the round a lot more.
  17. This year I made a conscious effort to manage my game better. The main theme of this year is that I DO NOT have to hit my driver on every par four or even a par five to lower my index. Why I didn't think of this sooner is a shame...I hope you guys and gals were quicker to this simple theme.
  18. I have to agree with fusioncal...at 14-16 index stick with the game improvement version. At our indices, I think hitting the ball straight would be our main priority, rather than shaping our shots. It's not like you can't shape your shots with game improvement clubs (I still can shape a shot if I had to with my R7 CGB's). I figure I need all the help I can get to get the damned ball into that damn hole. When you get to the point where you are a solid 5-6, then consider the player's clubs. To be honest with you even if I got to that point, I would still stick with my game improvement clubs...no shame to my game.
  19. My choice... http://www.quakersnackbars.com/CHW_P...rChocChunk.cfm and some Cool Blue gatorade to wash it down. I need something at the turn to pick me up, but nothing to heavy or greasy. Now I found something that is at least tasty and relatively good for you.
  20. I find excessive cussing, other vocal outbursts (while I'm in midswing or putt), unraked traps, and excessive slow play are more offensive to my on course sensibilities. Long ashes to you...
  21. Ditto on sticking with steel shafts, especially at 19 yrs of age. Generally, steel shafts are less expensive, too.
  22. I've got to agree with you 100%.
  23. I'd like to see the Shark win again on the regular tour. It's probably not going to happen since he seems to only concentrate on the business side of his life.
  24. I took my 60 degree out...I ended up getting the Halo 5i, 3i, and 1i. I'm just using these clubs more of the tee box (exp. the 3i and 1i) to stay on the short stuff. I'm just opening up my stance a bit and just flaring the club face a tad on my CG10 SW if I need a higher shot or a flat out flop. I'm just getting more bang for my buck utilizing the hybrids (i.e. staying out of trouble off the tee box). Now I just keep a GW and the SW. The 3 iron has been my worst club as opposed to the 5i which flies higher and just a lot easier to hit off the ground.
