Titelist DCI OS irons

Played yesterday out at a little muni in Hamlin.  Played the front cause it is short and it is a lot of iron play.  Now I have a lot of club sets to choose from.  I normally will play a set of FireSoles, X16's, or a set of Hogan GCD's.  My daughter and wife had a booth at the Roch Garage sale at the Public Market here.  So I had more than a few sets there to sell which of course no one bought.  Priced right too.  Least ways that is what folks said.

So anyways all the sets come back and I am putting them away in the garage and start looking at a set of 981's and these DCI's.  The DCI's have new grips that I put on at some point last year.  May have played them this spring or last fall and frankly left me feeling flat.  But they are bent 2 deg flat and I said what the heck lets give them a try today.  These clubs have the tri-step shaft in them, 3-sw.  Well to say that these go far is an understatement.  I mean I am hitting a pw from 120 out and carrying the green to back flags.  The third hole is a 295 yd par 3 down hill and then across a creek with some very tall trees.  Hit a 3 wood to the flat, again about 110 out, over the tops of the trees to the left side of the green, pitch up and putt.  Bogey I know but the point is I hit the ball over the trees to about 15' from the pin.  Hole 5 is a longish par 4 dog leg right, down a hill, over a pond, to a green.  I end up about 150 out after my drive and hit an 8 iron over the trees(a blind shot) about 8' from the pin and par the hole.

Anyways the sticks are long.  Pretty much surprised too.  These seem to be at least club longer than my FS's or GCD's, maybe a half club longer than the X16's.  The DCI's are accurate too.  High ball flight for the 7-SW, more boring for the 6-4 irons.  So anyways very impressed with them.  Gonna regrip the 981's today and give them a shot although they are standard for loft and lie.  thanks
