  1. Young04 I can assure you that the driver itself (Sasquatch Tour) is not short. I do find that loft for loft it does produce a lower ball flight than other drivers I've used (notably an r7 425). Like aquacooled I'm not sure I understand which driver you were hitting at the outdoor range (SQ Tour or SQ Max) if it was the Max, I never had much luck with it either... and if you have a high swing speed the stock shaft is a bit on the light and whippy side especially if you also have a quick tempo. The launch monitor will have given you a good idea of what to expect, if you are talking about the Tour vs. Max then don't worry about it - they are very different clubs. In the future, I'd take your current driver (G2) with you and hit it a few times before trying new drivers on a monitor. It will give you a baseline to compare against.
  2. Tiger Woods - No explanation necessary, the rest have hit the highpoints. John Daly - Local guy with some flare. Loren Roberts - Boss of the moss and local. Reteif Goosen - Icewater (except the '05 US Open)
  3. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. The regular Sasquatch is a beast and somewhat difficult to look at when standing over the ball. I still say you would do well to give the more traditional Tour a look. I was blown away at the quality of the club, having been die-hard Titleist for the last 12 years. In the end, you have to play what looks good and feels right for you!
  4. Well at least you gents only have to worry if you leave your clubs out in front of the clubhouse. Down here in the south, crooks seem more than happy to break into car trunks in search of clubs. The ready availbility of second hand golf stores that will give you cash for clubs seems to be feuling things here.
  5. I got a crack at a 905R also, and must say that it didn't impress me. I've been looking to replace a 983K for a while now, and finally went with Nike's knew Sasquatch Tour after hitting it, just about everything else on the market, and something yet to hit the market (905R). I'd recommend giving Nike's driver a shot - you just might be surprised.
  6. Glad it wasn't anything with his dad, but I suppose he is human after all. Having heard the tails of him winning tournaments while quite ill, I guess even Tiger can't do anything.
  7. I'm just hoping that none of the other deserving women get sent home before Nikki takes a hike. It's bad enough that she somehow managed to find enough game to sneak by Jo D. had a few mental blunders. I'm certainly hoping that one of the 5 gals still in the elimination challenge goes ahead and does her in.
  8. While I tend to agree with your sentiment, I'd say that even higher handicap players will get more benefit out of short game work. It may be easier to make headway with the "gross" motor skill shots, but when I was learning I found that short game work taught me better control over where the clubface was at impact. Plus, you have the benefit of being able to get yourself out of some tight spots after good long shots. The putting green, the chipping green, and practice bunkers are a great place to spend your time in this offseason, especially if your course/range like mine puts mats down in the winter preventing grass practice. Regards, -Dave
  9. -9 not bad... it would be even better if I had played Justin Leonard (rather than benched) and not Jason Gore, who had a bit of a rough time out there today. We'll see how the rest of it plays out.
  10. Let's see, wife got me a new Ogio Edge stand bag and a gift certificate for a driver fitting/driver purchase at a local golf shop. Folks chipped in a Nikon 500G laser range finder, and my brother got me Hogan's Five Lessons, Penick's Little Red Book, and Nicklaus' Golf My Way. All in all a nice haul, from a golf perspective. -Dave

I love Texas! It was tight, but in the end the best team came out on top (it would have been a bit easier if our kicker wouldn't have missed a few). Hook'em Horns! -Dave

While not a Texas alum, I'm from originally from Texas and a huge horns fan. I'd like to see them put USC in their place. Regards, -Dave
  13. Hey- Anyone out there interested in a review of the Sasquatch 460 Tour, I'm going to have one with an Aldila NV 65 and a Graffaloy ProLaunch stiff from a Nike rep this weekend for a round or two. I'll let you all know how they feel etc..., leave any specific questions in the thread and I'll do my best to answer them. Regards, -Dave
  14. Erik- I'd be quite interested in writing about all things PGA tour as Cody has been doing. I presume you'll want at least a sample article for review or something in that vein. I'll put together a sample and get it back to you later this week if that works. Regards, -Dave
  15. I was having the same problems. However, they appear to have cleared things up as I was able to select a roster for the Mercedes this week. Regards, -Dave
