  2. I was curious though, is there a rule on how close you place your ball to your partners ball after he/she hits? I saw some place a tee or coin where their ball was and then their partner would drop it in the general area..but what is considered acceptable or not?
  3. Well, I'll get right to the chase. At impact should my right hip be almost perpendicular to the ball and club? I was having a problem with feeling stuck, so I forced myself to actually try to impact more at right hip perpendicular to ball and iron at impact..I even visioned to hit impact when the right hip and right butt cheek were perpendicular to ball and iron at impact...and I was probably hitting the best shots in my life at the range. It almost felt like I was hitting behind, but my lip and body were almost facing the target..maybe facing around 12-1 o'clock position..ba;ance felt so good..and great trajectory.. I dunno but this felt so goood.. Is this what you better players feel? Just curious
  4. I haven't walked off a course because of my play - BUT for the play of others. Couple of times where it was absolutely slow play..
  5. LOL..thanks. Dang it..I know I have that tripod around that house..always when you need it..TY!
  6. I got up and was debating to go solo on a back 9 or hit the range..decide the latter. Lately, as I get started back into playing, TBH I see alot of TikTok swing videos and many of them are really good. I never understood the importance of the trailing right arm until recently. Most importantly keeping that right elbow tucked in on the down swing. Geesus..where have you been?! It felt so goooood. I always felt that I never felt really square to the ball at impact, but MAN, when I got that elbow tucked in..the consistency was amazing..and this is what will bring me back into the game. It was a great day today.
  7. For me was when I started hitting consistent playable drives from the box.
  8. The worst for me is subtle directed drops of tips/hints or what "his pro" told him..when he is a worse player than you..far worse. From what I've learned over the years is STFU and play. This post refers to my first round after years away. We were playing in a foursome..work group. One of the youngest guys in our group..all decked out in Dry-Fit Nike Golf/X-Armor (or is it Armor X) down to the TW golf shoes. He starts marking his ball for alignment and said I should also do this and that it helps with putting..LMFAO..I just smiled. He saw my bag (I have mostly Mizuno/Titleist stuff)..he said the best driver are Mizuno...LMFAO again..just smiled. As we play, he was constantly reminding the group what he was putting for (this is for par, birdie, etc..) which became annoying after the 2nd hole..yikes.
  9. Well....finally got out to play my first round after yeeeears. I have been to the range a few times before, but yesterday was my first. My putting was awful..surprinsingly I was driving pretty well..but the putting just killed me..no touch or feel..either blowing it by or way short. Iron play was decent, but more hooks than normal. I was hitting good drives then all of a sudden felt this pain in my right elbow area (not the elbow joint but the muscle area on the inside forearm)..damn..it was getting worse and worse..fudge. The last hole was a 190 yard par 3..fairly long for me for a par 3. I decided to take out the 5 iron and replace with the 5 hybrid. I ended up hitting probably the best shot of the round for me and landed on the green about 3 feet away for birdie..ended up tap in par. Resting up for a few days to see how it goes..either way had a good time.
  10. Cost and time. THanks..have to give it a try..just trying to get back into my set without investing $$ for the time being..TY!
  11. Has anyone tried to rough up the surface of their grips to make them tacky again? or what is a time tested solution - besides replacing them of course.
  12. Thank you for that! Always wondered what those were called..good topic. I finally got out to the range after almost 6 years and surprisingly hit my irons decent. I have also decided to put a few irons away. thinking of replacing the stronger lofted with my hybrids and going down to the 6i and down.
  13. I've been playing WGT since 2008. I didn't play for many years (like real golf lol), but recently started much more occasionally this year. I'm in The Peoples Club CC and enjoy playing it. My WGT name is: GolfNomad Let me know if anyone wants to play or send me an friend invite!
