  2. Hahaha, I've been waiting for this! seriously, although a talented guy, I never knew Reed was capable of playing golf consistently to that standard, he was the man of the tournament, he earned all his points and I tip my hat to him and your team! congrats!
  3. Wow! I really thought Rory would take something off Reed, but Reed was the man of the whole tournament, amazing golf I didn't realise he was capable of! also rookie pieters for eu was a class act and very impressive. the standard of golf from both teams were outstanding and it's been the best sporting event I've seen in quite a while, Unfortunately for me, it appears over now as far as EU are concerned, so congratulations USA, you deserve it!?
  4. Me too, and our wish has been granted, I think Rory is possibly one of only a few eu players who could take reed down in his current form, I expect reed to fight like a dog with the crowd fully behind him, but ultimately he'll be tamed by a superior player. im more interested into who roars the loudest and pops a blood vessel first! I find golf in general has become a putting contest, they're all capable hitting huge drives and great iron shots, it's seems to be the best putts wins
  5. I would say that's a fair assumption, I can think of a few players I would have preferred in the line up, Shane Lowry and even beef Johnston being two. He was probably just setting a standard, boos, jeering and cheerings ok, it's not as if the tournament affects rankings or earnings, it's meant to be fun and it sure is this year! but no need to get personal. There's a few dicks amongst the crowds giving the USA fans a bad name, it's best to weed those suckers out for all concerned.
  6. Just saying what I'm seeing, even Reed gestured to them to be quiet during roses putt, I actually like the crowds involvement, it makes the atmosphere what it is, and I'm loving reeds passion, he's like the Ian poulter of the USA! Wasn't aware of the "Fore!" Shout to Simpson, you're always gonna get a few dicks in a crowd, but it does seem a bit hostile at times! Great viewing though!
  7. I agree, they looked like camp disco sailors today
  8. Achieved my yearly goals today .....to shoot a personal best and lower my hc, I shot a net 68 and dropped down a shot to 12.2 im guessing all the Ryder cup action inspired me! It's been a great tournament so far
  9. The American fans are the rowdiest bunch I've ever seen, I don't recall the USA players receiving so much grief at Gleneagles, there's been some pretty poor behaviour IMO.
  10. Pete willets twitter account is quite well known over here, he likes to poke fun at things, including his brother, he can be quite funny at times and although his comments could be taken offensively I'm pretty sure it's just light hearted banter. I'm surprised the media have jumped all over it but i suppose it's just to build up the rivalry of the two teams
  11. A straight push at the moment, and when I try too hard to correct it, it becomes pull/draw, however, this is my own fault for improving my putting. Whenever I improve anything, something else diminishes.
  12. Hello everyone, I've been away from the site for a year or so, but I'm really looking forward to the Ryder cup wkend! Think USA have a stronger team compared to previous years, however, I also think EU may have more in-form players at the moment, Stenson, Rose and McIlroy in particular. DJ, Spieth and Mickelson will be tough, along with Patrick reed. Im also looking forward to seeing how the rookies cope with the pressure, the Ryder cup is quite unique and not a format they're used to, anyway, may the best team win, I expect it to be really close and impossible to call.
  13. I play the course next to Lytham, many of the people I speak to say mine is tougher! I played the Brabazon this weekend! Easily one of the best courses I've played in the England! And now I'm looking for 2 more venues for next years trip, it's looking like St. Andrews, and Celtic manor at the moment, but I need to get to wales again, some fantastic courses down there! we only want to play courses that have been a world stage for golfers at some point, which is a shame because I am in no doubt there are many courses equally as good, if not better, but have not had the infrastructure to hold such events! If your ever in the far northwest of England I can highly recommend Silloth on solway, and a bit lower down, west Lancashire golf course, and further to wales there's, vale of Langhollen, and not forgetting in wales there's Nefyn! All superb course I would definitely return to!
  14. Well I went for low spin/higher loft and it worked well for me!
  15. When my brother got his hole in one he was drinking coffee with amaretto in! Don't know if it works but tastes great!
