Hi, I play a 16th handicap. My chippng is one of the things that wont let me get lower scores. I used to play the basic set up: feet together, weight forward, hands forward, ball in the back of the stance, but I tend to hit it THIN 50% of the time, especially under pressure. Last week I took a lesson from a local PRO, who taught me 3 different ways to chip, and he told me in my case I will be beteer off with the "putting style" technique, that is a putting stance, putting grip, putting ball position, the only difference will be a weight forward stance, and of course a chipping club instead of the putter. The first round I play, it was fine, the second i messed up. Do you think this is a good technique I should stick with? Thanks in advance for your advice.
