I purchased my clubs used from an old college professor about 13 years ago. He said they had been University of Texas collegiate set made in texas by a company called woods. I have had no luck confirming any of this. Does any one know if these are what he claims and if so is this set a good one to start playing with after a long hiatus.20191219_161151.thumb.jpg.853eb0e7fea8c8ca2c3b1ccf4894b430.jpg

Have no idea about the origin, but what I can say is that they look like some early 90s cavity backs. My motto is "play em til the grooves wear off", and from the backside, I would assume that the grooves aren't worn off. If they are giving you trouble in a way that hinders your fun, then ditch em.

Are all of the backs filled with that finish?

Yes all of them except the LW as it wasn't part of the original set have those inlays. The grooves aren't very worn at all. I will post a picture of the faces later today when I get back home
