Hey everyone, I'm Griffin. I'm a college student, and I live in Portland, OR until I leave in May, when I earn my commission in the Air Force (finally). Anyone else from the area on here?

What's in my bag:

Driver: R5, 9.5 degree
Fairway woods: 973F
Irons: RAC, 3-AWWedges: Vokey spin milled, 56 degreePutter: White Hot #7Ball: Pro V1

I'm up north, Seattle, but was born just 40 minutes down the gorge from portland... Make it down that way pretty often.... welcome.

What I play

Driver: 907D2
Wood:960 15*

5 Wood: 960 18*

Irons: Titleist 735 Cm 3-PW

Wedges: CG16 60* and 52*

Putter: Nike Method

One more PDXer here. What school are you attending? I think Portland is a great place for golf, the whole spectrum from really cheap to really nice, and if you don't mind playing in the rain you can play year round. My buddies back in LA don't even play anymore because it is such a pain to get in a round (and expen$ive); I can just drive down the road and play 9 holes for $10 and not even bother getting a tee time.

I go to UP. I love golf here. Winter rates are cheap, and I don't mind the rain :D

I used to live a couple blocks from UP, right off Lombard. Best deal for golf there is playing the infield at Portland Meadows. I think it is about $8 to play an executive style course and no tee times, just show up and play. The course condition is not the best, but it is good for a quick practice round.

Absolutely, it's almost cheaper than hitting range balls. I also like Great Blue at Heron Lakes...pretty cheap on Monday/Tuesday.
