As you have seen in my last thread about having the whole set of clubs too short I am now going to get a whole new set of Irons...Any ideas what would be good/great Irons for long time...I am right now looking into spending $300-$400

They have some NIKE NDS for 399.99 on sale at the golf course, brand new.

I am just looking at some new clubs good for beginners but could keep for a long time and cont to get better with them and like I said at this time I am looking at spending $300-400...thanks for your help!!!

In the $300-$400 range for new clubs, some of the "end-of-year" Nikes are a good deal. Then again... Check golfgods.com for some of their end-of-year pricing. Ask Cody, too - he has access to a "friends of golfgods" special price list.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ok, I appreciate it, I looked at golfgods and found some Cleveland TA6's for 399.99 with a free golf bag anyone played with these clubs and are they better than the Nike NDS?

Can you get clubs fitted for you before you buy them from golfgods because if not it will all be for not and I will be stuck with clubs too short for me again.

Another question, has anyone done any business from either smtgolf.com or pinemeadowgolf.com and are they anygood for beginners, looks like they are priced reasonnably and are comparible to the name brand clubs?

Ah, ack, that's right... you'll need them fitted. Duh. GG carries just "stock" stuff, I think, but call them and find out. Most likely you'd get fitted from someone nearby (not that last guy!) and just have your specs ready.

The TA6 is a good club for someone just getting into it. I would rate them higher than the Nike NDSs from what I've heard from others.
