It sells fine. Anyone with a 36 handicap should NOT worry about the shaft unless it's made out of hickory...

Taylormade R5's are a little bit expensive for a high handicapper. Id go with something more along the lines of a Adams or something cheaper. If your ok with used clubs go with a Cleveland Launcher. I play one and i poke the ball 300+ very easy. The Fuji shaft is amazing even though im transfering to a speeder for this season. good luck

i finally get them...i didn't get them for quite expensive and quickly get them out first game on course ...this is the first time i feel confidence with my drive...very sweet and no regret in getting them...

IMOP taylor made R series is one of the easiest to hit.. glad you like the buy I have one of those in my "used bag".. I stepped up to the R7 but I have my good days and my bad days with the R7, I have been thinking about pulling my good old R5 back out..

I gotta say that until I bought my R5 I rarely used driver off the tee. Although I will be the first to admit that the shaft is the real reason I love my R5, but on slight mishits (which is almost hard to do with 450cc a head) it flies pretty far and stays in play. Now I use driver on almost all par 4 and 5 holes unless they are either very short or have a lot of trouble past 250 yards. If TM changes models again I may buy another one to keep for the future .

    • Of course it is. If you have that drought in major wins, coming so close, its more pressure than anticipation. Pressure = Relief, Anticipation = Celebration. Don't get me wrong, he celebrated after the fact. The initial response is 100% relief. Which is totally fine.  Yep, golf is hard. He made a poor swing on 15. He was probably taking dead-aim to get a birdie and pushed it. He probably should have played the slope of the green more. Guess what, he then made way more good shots than bad ones coming in to clinch the win.  6-FT from the pin, he has a 74% make from that range.  PGA Tour players only make 95% of their putts from like just shy of 4-FT. PGA Tour average from 4-FT is 92%. Everyone things PGA Tour players make more putts than they do.
    • There’s a whole bunch of one time winners, but they will always be winners.
    • I respectfully disagree. He's the only guy in the last 59 years to complete the career Grand Slam who's not named Tiger Woods. It's a very small club and he's in it. Once you are in the club, you are in the club. He can retire right now and he's a Hall of Famer.  He's tied with Brooks Koepka for the third most major wins among active players. (And that's only if you count Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson as "active" players.)  Everyone knows winning the Masters is difficult and repeating at the Masters is really REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY difficult.
    • To wax a little poetry if I may; it's not how we fall but how we rise after a fall. He always struck to me as a very resilient fella. Surviving the odds including the preening eyes of an army of those who 'expertly' write others off maybe an even higher quality in my book. Hence I refrain from using 'never' as an opinion.  I would have said the same thing about him had he not won this year.
    • Count me in for Saturday at Reserve Run. I'll be there.
