I haven't played golf consistently in at least 10 years. I know all the fundamentals and how to play, so now it's just a matter of getting out there and getting back into a rhythm.

Only problem is I have no clubs.

I've been browsing around for a few weeks now looking at clubs, and the best deal I could find was the Top-Flite XL 5000 set ( http://shop.callawaygolf.com/Product...71F&gcid;=2040& ). I was wondering if anyone has played with these clubs or heard about them, and if they are any good? I want to get a set that will last me long enough, but at the same time have some good technology and not hinder my performance.

I've also been looking at new and used iron sets from more well known brands like TaylorMade ( http://www.golfsmith.com/products/TM1150 ) and Tommy Armour ( http://www.sportsauthority.com/produ...ductId=3115193 )

I would like to keep the price under $500, though. I'm also a lefty, so I don't know if that makes it harder to find good, inexpensive clubs...

What do you guys think?

Ebay is a great place to find deals too. Almost all of the equipment listed in my signature is off of Ebay and I got it for a fraction of what new equipment would have cost.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

You can't go wrong with a set of TaylorMade Rac's.

Be VERY VERY careful with golf equipment on eBay. There is a flood of counterfeit equipment, and the counterfeiters have gotten very good at making the equipment look like the real thing. They even copy serial numbers from real clubs. Personally, I wouldn't buy clubs from eBay unless I knew the seller was legit.

Yeah, Im aware of that. Thats why I usually only deal with the bigger sellers on Ebay who have the, "power seller" ranking and I dont buy from them unless their rating is 99% or higher.

Thanks for the heads-up though.

Good. 'Cause from I've head, eBay and PayPal really aren't doing much about it.

Too bad Google hasn't opened an auction site. They seem to get it right whenever they do something.
