I have booked a flight with ryanair and chose the online check-in. I fly out 22/11 and return 25/11. The terms say I can check in upto 5 days before departure. My question is can I check in for the return flight before I have even taken the outbound flight? (I can't find an answer on their website and don't want to pay £1 per minute with their customer services). I would like to do this if posible so I dont have to search around for an internet cafe at my destination to complete the return online check-in process. Hope that all makes sense.

Sounds like you can. I fly Southwest a lot here in the U.S. but theirs is 24 hours, not 5 days. But for guys flying out and coming back the same day here at work, they can check in and get their boarding passes in that situation. Southwest is a "cattle call" airline, where you don't have assigned seating; the people at the front of the line (the people who checked in earliest) have first choice of seats as they board first.

But in your case, I would try to check in for the return flight 5 days before (since your departure wouldn't have left yet) and it's either going to work or it won't. You shouldn't need to to call customer service on this one I wouldn't think. I would say if you're already checked in for the departure there wouldn't be any problem checking in for the return flight.

Even if you can't, couldn't you use the wi/fi at the airport you are flying to and check in when you land?

Thanks for your reply. I could do what you suggested. Like you said, I think I will be able to check in for the return before I even leave. Its not a big problem If I cant though, was just wondering because I have never used online check-in before.

    • Yeah, I think I misread that part. I read "in front of" and kinda skipped the rest.
    • We just completed our winter league (Jan 1 - April 30)  Our scoring was simple.  We used the 18 birdies app.  You get 1 point for every member of the league you beat head to head in an 18 hole round (no handicap).  You also get a point for completing the round.  Therefore 4 members play a round- winner of the round gets 4 points, runner-up gets 3, third gets 2, and last gets 1.  Points accumulate throughout the season.  You can play as many times as you want. Our winner accumulated 110 points while second was 102 and third was 97.  We had a total of 16 members in the league.  No issues whatsoever.  All about fun.
