So today, I got my TaylorMade 3i Rescue/Hybrid back. The good news is that it was 100% free, thanks to my generous teammate. The "bad" news is that it has a regular flex shaft, whereas I use stiff. It didn't seem to hinder my performance today, but I have this question: How great is the difference between a stiff flex and a regular flex? My drives average 280-300, if that helps.

I swing pretty hard; doesn't make me good does it? A good friend of mine swings really hard and he easily outdrives me, yet shoots in the mid-high 50s every time.

Well he didn't say he hits it 300 yards and straight so who knows. :)

Well, when I hit it straight, it goes 280-300. I'm just saying I swing that hard, but anyway, can someone answer my question, "How great is the difference between a stiff flex and a regular flex?"

The way I have been told is regular shaft will make your drives longer. Where stiff will be more accurate.
In the Bag:

Hmm, never thought about that. For the time being, I'll keep the shaft, but come next year maybe I'll get a new one. If it works for me, why not keep it?

Have you ever had your swing speed measured? If your swing speed it fast enough, you may want to try X-Stiff shafts, a Regular shaft might make you snap hook the heck out of the ball, unless you have a very, very, very smooth tempo.
