I wanted to give a quick review of this product because, frankly, it looks kind of like a gimmick and therefore you might disregard it, but for some people I think it is worth a closer look.

Me: I always carry my bag, and I don't like my clubs clacking together all the time (especially now that I am playing forged clubs). I have a bit of OCD where I want my clubs to be in a specific order, and if possible sequential. I hate it when my wedges get buried underneath the longer clubs. I have been using a 14 way stand bag, which was OK for club organization, and reduced chatter some, but was hard to organize without the wedges getting buried.

I found a Caddyrack in a second-hand store for a couple of bucks and thought "what the heck." I mounted it in an old Izzo stand bag (8 inch, 6 way top) that I had.

The organizer has two fixed legs that have tabs to fit over the outside rim of the bag and straddle a divider. There is also a moveable support brace that is underneath the irons and fits onto the rim. The brace has a bolt and wingnut which slides in a slot for height adjustment, and there are a series of holes in the brace for adjustment as well. I found that for my bag that I needed to use the shortest brace configuration, and that I needed to trim off the excess material from the brace to get the right clearance. Not a big deal, but it is a little extra hassle. The fixed legs fasten to the bag with tie wraps (included) that go around the divider.

I found that my iron set (Ram Laser FX, 4-PW+SW,LW) fits pretty well, although the shafts do bunch up just a bit (this bag is on the narrow end of the Caddyrack's range). I don't know if it would work very well for wide soled or large offset irons.

I took it out on the course yesterday and I really liked the organization the Caddyrack gives me, and my bag is absolutely chatter free. Every iron is accessible, and has it's own place. I also managed to have my bag tip over and while the irons did come out of their slots the Caddyrack was none the worse for the fall. It seems to be made of a nylon based plastic, so it isn't brittle, which is good.

I see that the Caddyrack sells for $25 from the manufacturer from their website ( http://www.caddyrackgolf.com/ ). I think it is definitely worth a look if you have a bit of OCD about your bag.

I dislike iron organizers, pre-slotted bags and iron covers.
They all seem a little bit nebbish.

I love to hear the clack of my irons.
Oh, a golf bag is not supposed to be as organized as a surgical theatre (IMHO).

I gave up most of my superstitious compulsions.
I'm still working on some of them (e.g., three identical coins for ball markers.)
I like it better when a little less than perfect organization reminds me that the real deal is me, a club and a ball.

I would feel like a nebbish with those.

That doesn't mean you are. Apologies for not understanding Yiddish better than that.
