I just started playing a couple of months ago and I just ordered my first driver. I went to Golfsmith to try out a bunch of drivers and I really liked the Cobra Speed. Second on the list was the Cleveland Hibore. I just won a "very good" condition Cobra Speed F driver on ebay for 67 bucks. It has the stock Aldila regular flex shaft and is 10.5*. Looking forward to some longer drives, as I've been teeing off with a 19* hybrid. I hit the driver well in the cage at GS, hopefully it will transfer to the course. Oh and my clubhead speed on the monitor was 80 to 83 mph. I was hitting it right at 200 to 220 yards based on the monitor. Hopefully that will improve as well. I'm excited......

I am a fan of Cleveland HiBore as well. The only reason I haven't gotten one is because I can't find a buyer for my Nike Lucky 13.

I love Cobra clubs. I think the look, sound and feel great.

Good luck with new driver. I hope it works out for you.

I've never really like Cobra drivers. They just seem to big for my liking. I'm not saying they aren't nice, but I am saying that they aren't for me.

I love cobra drivers they feel like you pound it but if you buy the M speed version I would suggest you alos pick up some earplug, those things are loud.

No, I bought the F Speed Version. It is for fast ball players, which I'm not, but I felt like I would grow into it pretty quickly.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
