With Thanksgiving approaching what do you give thanks for:

1) My loving wife
2) My son, Ryan
3) My daughter, Lauren
4) Our health, we are relatively healthy as a family
5) Enjoyment of golf
6) Enjoy my job
7) Good friends and family
8) Live in America

What are you thankful for in your life?

Someone said its a great ideal to give thanks every morning it put us in a appreciative mood to start the day ahead.

Give thanks to everything because as Enstein onced said, "You can treat life as ordinary or you can treat life as a miracle!" I read that on a bumper sticker in San Francisco.

My list is similar to yours, and here it is:

1. Life itself, and the Creator who gave it to me (even though some days, I ask, "Why me?")

2. My family----good wife, Terri the Terrific, good children---John and Leanne, GREAT grand daughter---THE RYLEIGH GIRL, GREAT BROTHER, who is no longer with us, two good sisters, great parents and grand parents ----all of whom taught me the VALUE OF HARD WORK and taking care of the family, good mother-in-law, who is also not with us any longer (just like my Mom and Dad)

3. Good job and the company is doing well in the recession so it looks like the job will last

4. Excellent health for AN OLD, OLD GUY who is a half century PLUS TEN

5. The GREAT GAME OF GOLF------and how my son, daughter, and 4 year grand daughter (!!!!!) all play and love the game. Thanks, Dad, for introducing the game to me and my brother. My family still runs a good tournament in my brother's name. It is a tournament for junior girls and boys and we have been holding it for 29 years!!!

6. The US OF A---best country ever; WE will get through this recession!!!

7. This golf forum, which is well run, and even "clips my wings" when I need it

I almost forgot to include this quote with my post:

"Yesterday is HISTORY
Tomorrow is a MYSTERY
And today--------is a GIFT

That is why they call today THE PRESENT!!"

Thanks, God, for the present.

    • I've been putting whilst looking at the hole and it's definitely helped my distance control
    • I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers
    • is it though?????? "Millions of fans"?????
    • Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.
    • So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
