Should I change the loft of my driver?

Hi,
In the local golf store the simulator is telling me that my swing speed is 102mph and ball velocity of 151, launch angle of 14.5 and the resulant drive carries over 270yrds. Now from experience I know I only hit it 240 at best so this leads me to believe the monitor is over clocking me ( I tested with my own driver for reference ) of course the assistant keeps telling me that the new driver should I buy it will give me 270 upwards .... no chance. This virtual monitor http://www.sonicboomgolf.com/virtual...h_monitor2.php seems to be spot on. With 151 ball speed, a launch of 15Deg the ball carries for 240 which is exactly what I see in practice. Now if I increase my launch angle to 16 I get 5 more yrds and if I decrease it to 13 I lose 5 yrds.
So with my stats of 102mph stiff flex ( Hibore XL ) would I gain any distance in going down to 9.5? And I keep going back to the "how far do people hit the ball" Anika Sorenson has apparently very similar launch stats to mine and hits the ball 40 yrds further, so where am I losing all the distance as 102 is not a slow swing speed and approx 1.5 is a good power transfer ratio which indicates I'm hitting her near enough the sweet spot most of the time?

Sounds like they have the monitor jacked up. I know there was a store near me that seemed like they had the altitude set at 5000 feet rather than 500 (which is our altitude). If you put in your numbers to the VLM with the city as Denver you get about 270 carry.

Oh, and LPGA.com has Annika's driving average as 251 yards, and that would be total, not just carry, so I think you are pretty close.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.

    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
