I am considering buying the Yes Sophia and the SC American Classic III Flange because I can't decide between the two. Have you ever done the same?

Still looking for additional feedback on both these putters.

1. Mainly how much feel you found when putting,

2. I like a heavier putter and was also wondering your take on their weight

and also would

3. both have the same type of stroke needed to hit them?

I do not have any place that carries them so I am relying on feedback for my fellow golfers on your expert opinions.

Well, yes and no. How's that for a useful reply?

I currently own four different putters: two Callaways, an old non-descript brass blade that looks like a Ping knock-off, and a weird, sci-fi looking oversize mallet thingy that, if you wired it up to a battery, you could probably also use to find quarters on the beach.

I suck pretty much equally with all of them, but, I didn't pay more than 40 bucks for any of them (gotta love Ebay), which is my top dollar for a putter which, in my opinion, at base is just a piece of flat metal on the end of a stick.

My best advice is, don't drop two bills on anything that you can't try out on the practice green first and see whether or not it fits your game.

Also, there's nothing at all wrong with buying a used putter: it's not like all the putter juice leaks out and they're no good any more.

My bottom line: you can't buy a good putting game. Get yourself an old Ping Anser or something like that and log some serious hours on the practice greens.

    • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do lift weights but I’m also adding yoga or Pilates for mobility and flexibility to my routine.
    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
    • I would say both are equally not the best for golf. Is it better than nothing, sure.  Golf is an athletic motion. Professional golfers are doing a comprehensive workout routine focusing on strength, power, flexibility, stability. They might include some yoga into the routine. I would put both of them in the recovery bin, not golf enhancement bin.  If you want to increase swing speed, core strength, longevity in golf and life, then lift heavy weights.
