Big M may think low launching swings are fundamentally flawed, but remember that Hogan was a low ball hitter too

you are taking what I said completely out of context... the OP said he hit "line drives"... to me a line drive is completely different than a low ballflight. Chances are, if you hit a driver like a missle or line drive, you might have a swing problem. Improper shaft, loft, and other things can compund such a problem, but it is likely rooted in the swing.

You may also note that I said w/o seeing his swing there was NO definate answer.

I was on a launch monitor a couple months ago. This was when I was trying to find a good driver to replace my old Snake Eyes 360cc. I had a wicked slice at that time, and according to the monitor a slower ss (about 94mph avg). My average drive was 215.

Since then I changed my swing with the driver, increased the speed and stopped the slice. I now have a Cobra LD F Speed 9.5 degree driver with a stiff flex shaft. I have what I call a great ball flight. My distance has increased to an average of 255.

The shop here in Monterey doesn't measure swing speed, but it does measure ball speed. I have a ball speed of 135mph average. This last weekend I tried the Bridgestone B330S and Titleist ProV1. My drives increased in distance, stayed amazingly straight, and flew true.

I was amazed with the results. If there is a way to increase my distance.....I am not completely sure I want to! lol I am happy to be straight, let alone as far as I am getting now.
