Calling Dublin golfers

Hi,

I am looking for some advice on a golf club in the area just south of Dublin. My wife is having interviews for a job there which would result in our relocation. I have looked on a map and Bray is in the sort of area I would like to live in. What is Bray golf club like? Are Dublin golf clubs as easy to get membership as they are in England at the moment? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey,

Unfortunately have never played Bray Golf Club but this link is an Irish Golf forum that I like, plenty of good people there will help you out (hope it's ok to post the link, mods)...

Bray is quite nice to live in, I used to consider it "the countryside" a couple of years ago but with motorways, etc now you can get to Dublin city centre in 30 mins. Also has the excellent DART (train service)... Very popular seaside town during the summer when (if) the sun comes out...

Dublin golf clubs are crying out for members at the moment, see the above forum for posts on cheap memberships available...

      Day 1: 2/26/2025: So, I'm starting over on this again.  My son brought home the mother of all flu bugs from school. It raged though our house and knocked me on my butt for about 3 days.  Now, that I think I'm clear of the death plague my son gave me. I was able to rise early this morning and get some nice mirror work in. I felt stiff like a board for the first few swings, but loosened up and was able to get at least 20 minutes of first robotic slow swings and then gradually more fluid swings.  My focus was on the timing and fluidity of my priority pieces.

      I use a MagSafe connector on my tripod. Occasionally I use those clips.

      Working on some swing videos. What are you guys having the best luck with as far as devices used to record the swing?  I have a tripod with a magnet that I stick my phone on but it is somewhat of a pain because I have to remove the cover on my phone and when I pull it off the magnet the tripod head changes and moves position. I was thinking something more like an ipad maybe. On a different style tripod and maybe even set it up to mirror to a tv.
