Ben Hogan Hybrids

Anyone play the Ben Hogan Hybrids ?

As I understand it, Callaway is ending it Ben Hogan line.
Most of the golf shops I've been in are selling this equipment
at clearence prices.

I was looking at a Ben Hogan hybrid an Alida shaft for about $70
I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Just wondering if anyone owns one or has played one
and what there thought were.

Driver: X460 tour- 9.5*
3-wood: 3+ - 13*
Hybrid: BB HW 20*
Hybrid: 24*

I have not played the hybrids from BH but have 2 sets of irons from them and are great so can't imagine the hybrids being bad.

I play with Hogan Hybrids and love them. I've purchases newer hybrids including Tour Edge Exotics but I keep going back to my Hogans'.

I still have one and it's a great club IMO. I actually found it for $50 with a steel shaft. It's a solid club for sure.

After a few positive reviews here, I took the plunge.

Broke it in real good on the course yesterday. I was impressed !
I've been using Callaway Heavenwoods and was used to the tink
sound and feel. This feels real solid at impact, like you could crack walnuts with it
after a round of golf. Everything seemed to fly straight and long, even a few mis-hits.
Had a little trouble hitting it in the rough. Probably a poor club selection on my part.

I don't think everyone here would like the feel this has at impact compared
to other hybrids, but I like it's perfomance. I'll keep you posted.

The Hogans feel more like 'irons' to me. They seem to be easier to control then the 'fairway wood' style hybrids I've tried. But one issue is that I seem to get similar yardages from both my 3H and 4H. Curious??

What are your lofts of your 3H and 4 H. If you have BH hybrids, the 3H is 21*

and the 4H is 24*. You probably won't see much difference. 5 or 10 yds between the two ?

      Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.

      Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.

      Day 1 - 2025-12-20 Starting a new streak, of at least 1. With rain dumping for the next week in the north bay area, I'll be a lot of outdoor net work and maybe some putting. About 10 minutes of 7 iron work, focused on the usuals: weight transfer, keeping hands behind me. I'll have more time in the coming days for video review and maybe some Hack Motion.
