I have just purchased the SG5 and this was based on past research that I have done when the uPro just came out and I think even before Callaway has acquired them.

Back then it was a no brainer, SG5 seemed to be a better way to go, considering uPro was just making it's grand entrance.

Fast Forward >>>>>

Now here we are and it seemed like uPro now is becoming the leading edge of Golf Technology. Don't get me wrong SG5 is still one of the best but as a new device in the field (uPro), feature wise, it's top notch and ahead of it's time (at least one of a kind).

In addition, I know that the SG5 has gone some overhaul to include scorecard capabilities, etc. etc. but uPro is "supposedly" (use that term loosely), coming out with that as well.

Tied with the current "ahead of its time" technology and possible scorecard capabilities, it seems like uPro is the device to GET!

Of course, you really can't go wrong with either device and you can't please everyone. There are people who wants simplicity, there are golf techies out there so on the spectrum of a golf techie, the uPro seems to be top notch.

People who has the uPro or better yet who have experience with both devices, what do you think now??

I don't want this post to be a debate of what is more accurate, battery life, etc. because I'm sure that has been covered in every post here but what I want to take a look at is people opinion in today's condition.

Let's hear it!

The uPro does look pretty sweet. I bought a SG2.5 caddie last year and love it, but am always looking for the next best thing. I would like the complete package where I can track putts, GIR's, score, etc .

Look forward to hearing anyone who has the uPro or who has played a round with one to see where it stands in comparison.

What are the different features each has? I guess I should say, What makes the Upro that much better? If, in fact, it is better.

Just search here in the forum regarding the uPro, there are some features that are just outstanding, even over the SG5. It's like having everything the SG5 has and then some and much more advanced!

Nevertheless, what I want to see is opinions from people who have debated this and now with the uPro being out for awhile with much more improvements, I wonder how everything is.

I've had the SC 2.5 since it came out, never had on-course problems, but the stupid membership fee is leading me to look at the Garmin G5. Very pricey, but all courses are free, and future updates are free too. That alone is worth $500. Membership plans are unethical, so even if I pay more buying another unit, it's about the principle.

Well, I returned my SG5 and got the refund for the Birdie plan.

Now I have the uPro, I must say, it's pretty great! I can't say it's awesome but it's really very nice. Simple and didn't seem too complicated to use like the SG5.

I will post more once I try it out on the course. Other than that we'll see.
