Shaft Quick Change Adapter

Has anyone tried one of these quick change adapters to try a variety of shafts in their Drivers ?

No, I saw the adapters in Golfsmith's catalog. It looks like you place one part in the hosel and you can buy several sleeves (?) to place on a variety of shafts. So in essance, you could play or try several shafts with the same head. if I remember right it cost less than $10.00. The experimenters I-Mix ?

I thought this was about the Callaway system. Have you used them or know anyone that has? It's a very interesting system but I think that it is too in-depth for me. Know anywhere that a guy could learn what to use all the different shafts and stuff for?

I currently have an FT-5 head with the I-mix adapter. I'm still on my quest to find the right shaft. I think it's really made for the equipment junkies who like to tinker around. It's certainly not the end all be all. If you know your swing speed, know your tendencies, and know what you want to do with the ball off of the tee, you can narrow the list down to about 3-5 shafts. Then it's just a matter of picking the one that you like the best. It's also helpful as your game evolves and you need to change to a different shaft. For most average recreational golfers I would say it's a bit of an overkill.
