Old Upro vs new callaway Upro?

Is there a difference between the old upro produced before callaway bought them out? Is the unit the same and are the courses the same? Are there any drawbacks to getting the original?

I've had both and to my knowledge they're the same. Only the software is different from the upgrade which is free.
