help me pick a 3 wood shaft!

So i was having a lesson with my instructor and he said i needed a stiff shaft in my 3 wood... its a nike sasquatch sumo2 and i like the head alot... so i was wondering if anyone had a recomendation in shafts... my traj right now is kinda medium lowish and i want it a little higher.

I like UST alot for the money. The one in my 5 wood cost about 40 bucks installed and it has a great feel.

i'd recommend selling your current 3 wood and getting a new club with a stiffer shaft. it should cost you less overall.

Yeah I agree. Go with a newer 3 wood, and you can pick a nice stiff shaft. Proforce and the ys-6 aren't bad.

Ya I don't see why you would del a head you like to get a new club with a mediocre shaft... Check out the v2 or the project x steel shaft... Sick!

For a higher launch, I'd try a Graffaloy Epic FW. I have it in my driver, and i love it!

axiv core blue is a good high launch shaft. But it's $120 and I'm not sure if that's more or less than the afforementioned graffalloy.

You can get a Graphite Design Purple Ice FW shaft off of the auction site for about 20 bucks. That is what I have in all of my FW woods. They are about as good as anything out there and they are dirt cheap now.

I second the Proforce V2 loving that is going around in this thread, but I wouldn't recommend to you solely based off the fact that you said you want to be hitting the ball a little higher. I went with the V2 to keep the ball down and take some spin off it.

What shaft is in your Nike that you are hitting medium to low-ish traj? If it's a shaft with a high flex point like the V2, go with something with a mid-kick point (Aldila NV, Diamana Blueboard, Matrix Ozik for example). If it's something with a mid-kick and you still need to get the ball in the air more, then you probably need something with a low flex point like the YS-6+ or Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue.

Once you figure that out, you'll then have to figure out what weight shaft you need.

Given all these variables, you might not even need a stiff shaft, you just might need a different kind of shaft with a different weight and/or flex point and/or tip stiffness to get your desired ballflight.

if you want i higher ball flight don't get a blue board it will go lower then the stock nike yellow board so to speak and if you want a higher ball flight why need stiff are you hooking a lot try a proforce v2 high launch or pl blue it is cheap cause the new avixcore came out grafaloy

what does everyone think of the adila nvs? it has a more active tip then the nv
