I have just started actually playing golf seriously the last couple of weeks. I used to just play everynow and then a couple years ago.
I currently do not own a set of clubs, I am borrowing my friends club ( callaway big bertha fusion irons, KZG 9* driver, a taylor made driver 10* and maxfli 3i &4i hybrids) I have hit decent with them. Currently I am a mid to high handicapper, spent some time at the driving range working on my hitting technique, i.e. slicing! lol
I have also played with a set of Nike Ignite irons/ Nike sumo driver. I did better with the Callaway's ( played with them more)

I have been looking at getting my own set and I want a good set that is forgiving and I will be able to improve with but as i improve that I will still be able to play with.
Right now I am trying to decide what clubs would be best. Here is what I am looking at so far.
1. Callaway x-14 irons steel shaft/ Callaway ERC Fusion driver/ 3 wood X tour/ 5 wood Big Bertha

2.Nickent 3dx hybrid iron set

3.Callaway Big Bertha Fusion iron set

4.Titleist DCI 962 iron set/ taylor made bubble 2 woods/taylor made burner 9.5* driver.

All above sets listed are used and I can get a good deal on. I have researched them and I am leaning more towards the first 3.

Which one would you recommend to improve with or would you recommend another set of irons not listed?

Thanks in advance

1. Callaway x-14 irons

I think that the most forgiving sets would be the Nickent, and then the Callaway Fusion. Run from the DCI's. Not forgiving. The X-14s are great, but not as forgiving as you are looking for and as you would find with options 2 and 3.

907D2 driver and 906D4 3 wood
Idea Pro Gold 3 4 5 hybrids
Apex Plus 6 7 8 9 E irons
900 52 gap 56 sand 60 lob wedges
Rossa Suzuka Putter

Well I went and played golf at Hickory Hills friday with a friend. I returned his clubs( Callaway Big Bertha Fusions) he brought some clubs along his father in law let us borrow. In the bag was a Taylormade burner driver, Taylormade r7qaud driver, futura putter, white hot putter, a couple r7 irons. He threw them in there so I could play with some different clubs and get a feel.

I love the r7 quad driver, so much in fact I bought it from his father in law( he threw in two zevo hybrids). The r7 irons were very sweet, I was very accurate with them on my drives. The futura putter....well I like it...a lot, haha. Now looking for a set of irons.
