I have owned Adams clubs in the past (and still game a fairway wood) and thought their clubs were high quality. They seem to be taking a page out of TaylorMade's book recently and are quickly releasing new clubs and re-introducing new ones relatively quickly (Speedline/Speedline2, A4/A7). I hope this doesn't negatively affect the quality of their equipment. That being said the new IDEA pro black irons are absolutely gorgeous!

Driver:  the search continues

There had been a stigma that Adams clubs were for either hackers or players on the Champions tour. That belief was rather stupid but that was the case. They've made a series of great players irons from the Pro series, to the A4. They also offer various finishes in the entire series to select distributors. Do a search and you'll find the Pro Golds, the A4s in Satin, Chrome, Raw and Black. They all look pretty sweet and they're wedge selection is getting better, too.

In order to compete, they have to push out clubs to various levels of players. By having all these lines, it gives them a better opportunity to get into new markets.

My bag has more and more Adams as I revamp. It just happened by chance and the good deals I ran by. Just got the Adams Idea Pro Gold hybrid and Adams Tight Lies GT Tour irons.

Hey, this is my first post here. I've been looking at options for buying my first set of clubs, and didn't want to spend over $400. The options were either going for a complete set or buying used. Being new to this, I wasn't quite sure what to look for in used and where, so I decided to go the complete set route. I was at Dicks Sporting goods yesterday and saw the 2009 Adams Golf Tight Lies Plus set for $499, a bit steep. So, I logged onto ebay last night and found the same set and won it for $375 shipped. What do you guys/gals think of this set? Is this Adams lowest end set? How do the clubs feel i.e. driver, irons, putter? Thanks!

I played the GT Tight Lies line for my first 2 seasons and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are an excellant choice to start from, imo, and I rode them to a solid 9.5 hcp.

I would reccomend them to a newer player. Use them for a few seasons until you figure out what you really like/need in a golf iron, even if thats just moving up the Adams line. Good luck.
