Only been playing the game a while. I've been playing the Bridgestone e6+ ball and like it. I tend to slice the ball on occasion so I like it cause it reduces sidespin. Are there any balls out there that reduce sidespin but don't give up any distance or feel? Thanks in advance for the replies.

I find that the e7+ takes away some of the sidespin problems I had with the e6+. It keeps the spin down and the ball lower, but is still surprisingly soft around the greens.

I like the e7+ for the exact same reasons.

You might try out the B330 sometime. It is soft and straight like the e7+, but a little longer. Of course, it's double the price.

Didn't care for the E7+, found it lacked feel and could use a bit more spin off the wedge. It does work well in the wind. I play alot of different balls and I do like ProV1's, 330s's, TP red and black, ect. . But economics dictate a good mid priced ball. I want distance, feel, spin and it better putt well. I like the NXT tour, Fire tour, E5+. I don't like the Taylor Made Burner TP extremely short, feels like plastic and I was told this was the old Fire tour, I don't think so. Right now I'm really liking the Nike Vapor it seems to do it all and better than my other favorites.

If you don't want spin then the TriSpeed is a good choice, it is truly a gourmet distance ball. I tried it and if it would spin more of the wedges I would play it.
It is longer than any thing I mentioned above with exception to the Vapor.

Just curious, but how does the ball know the difference between side, back or top spin?

The Precept Distance iQ 180 had anti-sidespin properties like the E6+. Also, the Top-Flite D2 Straight has a slippery coating that is supposed to reduce sidespin.
For a while earlier this year I was playing the E6+ and I hit some of the straightest shots Ive ever hit with those golfballs.

Seems to me if you reduce side spin you reduce back spin as well and that's what I find with low spin balls. I've never heard of any special coatings applied to the surface to reduce spin but it makes sense because when you get a flyer it is a result of the moisture in long grass acting as a lubricant. There sure has been a bunch of advancements in golf ball technology in recent years.

I believe the Big Bertha Diablos reduce side spin as well. I have been playing them for a couple of months now and love them. Now i dont always hit it straight(fighting a slice/ problem with alignment) but ball does not slice as much as other balls i have used.
