Hey everyone. I am looking for some opinions on 3 wood shafts. I am about to purchase a 13.5 909F2 wood. I can't beat the deal (half the price of the 910) I am getting on it, especially being a brand new club. I currently hit a 15.5 906F4 with an Aldila VS Proto 80-S. I am going to a 13.5 degree wood simply for tee shots on shorter holes and narrow holes. I rarely ever hit my 3 wood in to a par 5 (if I am that far out, I typically lay up to a good wedge yardage). I prefer a lower trajectory ball flight, so that is where I need some opinions. When I catch my 906F4 in the screws I hit it a good bit higher than I like, and I think the shaft has a lot to do with it. I am thinking something either heavier in a stiff flex (like a 90ish gram stiff) or the same weight in an X-stiff. Quality opinions are very much appreciated!

If it helps any, I have a 70-X in my driver.

Decided to go with an Oban Devotion 7. It should be in at the end of the week, so I should have some good play time and practice with the club by the middle or end of next week. I will report back!

    • I generally like par-3 courses and find it a darn shame that the last of them closed in my area during the pandemic. Part of it may have to do with the fact that I never have been very good with the longer clubs, so the short holes are a bit more my speed.  Being able to get in 18 holes in two hours was pretty convenient and, ironically, the lack of crowds made them peaceful places to be. Naturally, that's the same reason they no longer exist around here.  The second option sounds like a whole lot of no fun.
