Hi All,

I live in Gilbert, AZ and decided to register for the forum here.

I'm 33 and think I could count the number of rounds I've played on one hand.  Recently I went to a bachelor party in Tucson and played 18 there and decided I wanted to start playing.  I used an old borrowed set of Knight clubs that I think were too short for me, and practiced with those at the range for about a month before buying a full set from GigaGolf.  The clubs seem to work great!  Unfortunately I hurt my rib cage pretty bad, so I might be down and out for a few weeks to let it heal, which is a drag.

I'm gradually getting a little better each day and looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning as much about the sport as possible here.

Best Regards,

Brian

To bad about your injury... don't rush it though.  While your out for a while I'd recommend some good reading about the swing... I'd go with the Stack and Tilt book.

Yeah, I felt it as soon as I swung the club.  Almost a popping feeling in my side closer to my back.  The next day, my lower ribs on my right side were sore all the way around from my sternum to my back and hurt to press on them.  I took it easy for a few days and the pain was nearly gone, then I went to the driving range followed by 9 that weekend and now it's worse.  So I need to let it heal now.  It's really tormenting me because I've got the bug and all I want to do is go hit balls right now, especially while it's cool outside.

I'll check out the book.  Thanks for the suggestion.
