Hey everyone,

Here is where I am,

I have been playing for 3 weeks or so now after my 4-5 year break and this is what my swing looks like.

I think the first swing in the video (a pitching wedge) looks pretty good and it feels nice when I hit the ball.

With the driver though, I think I need some major help.

For one thing you will see my head move back during the swing despite my best efforts and I seem to have all my weight on my back foot for the whole swing.

It looks to me more like my old baseball swing than a golf swing.

Any comments are appreciated.

I think I need to pivot less with my back foot and focus on sliding my body forward, is this correct?

Also, I have a major slice sometimes with the driver, sometimes when I really focus I can keep it straight but about every third shot at the range (and every shot from the tee) curves way to the right.

This never happens with my short irons or wedge though.

Thanks for your help,

Sebastian

One thing I did notice was with your driver, you don't seem to shift your weight forward all the much. You look like your straining to stay straight, and want to fall back a bit. Mind you im not a instructor, or an amazing golfer, but just something that popped out to me.

take for what its worth i am like a 20 handicapper but looks like you stance is to far apart.   And yes you driver does look a lot like a baseball swing, with little to no weight shift.

Ok guys, so for now I am going to focus on sliding my hips forward in the driver swing instead of pivoting like a baseball swing.

I want to end with most of my weight out front right?

How does my pitching wedge swing look though, I know my driver is horrendous but I think I'm ok with the wedge right?

With the pitching, how close was the target you were trying to hit? If it was intended as a full swing, then you need to bring the club around ALOT more. Your club is almost at the top of your swing. But like I said, depends on what you were shooting at.

I was just going for 100 yards and as straight as I could
