I've been Playing Golf for: 12 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 84

My typical ball flight is: baby fade

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: duck hook off tee

I Apologize for the slight angle this is at...best I could do at the time!

Videos:

Beginning of the year I used to have a slice sometimes.  I changed my swing a bit to keep my hands on the inside in the backswing.  But now I'm duck hooking.  In the video I hit it pretty good but it's like 1 out of 3 or 4 I hit good sometimes with baby fade sometimes straight and sometimes with a slight draw.  I want to consistently hit draws with both my irons and driver.  My driver however is much less consistent though.  This was the first day on the range with my new R11s.  Wanted to see if there are any drills to do so I can swing consistently and have a predictable ball flight.  Any suggestions are welcome.

For the best feedback, you might want to post a better video. Not being able to see the ball or your feet is a hindrance to people who might otherwise be able to offer feedback. Square down-the-line and front-on video also helps. See http://thesandtrap.com/b/playing_tips/filming_your_swing.

That said, I have a couple observations:

1. Your clubface is quite open and your left wrist *very* cupped at the top of your swing and you no doubt have to make some crazy compensations to get the face back to the ball square.

2. To my eye, your backswing is too long and likely costs you some consistency.

Drills? Read this thread: http://thesandtrap.com/t/35195/shorter-probably-better-swing-keep-the-right-arm-straight. I bet you'll find some helpful starting points in there. Good luck!

Great advice in that thread, thank you.  I read the whole thread and I'm definitely taking too long of a back swing.  My right elbow bends way past 90 degrees which is another no no.  I will try to take another video in next couple of days with these adjustments and let you know results.

I have been reading a Golf Digest latley and it shows pictures of Bubba's swing.  He brings club back so far and I guess that's what I was trying to accomplish.  Sounds like going back 70-80% is key in the backswing, and doesn't sacrafice any distance.

One question though, do you hinge your wrists at the top of your swing to get the club face where it needs to be at the top?  I read once you should almost if not see your clubface out of the corner of your left eye right before you start downswinging....
