Today I was out playing a round and I notice that my 5 wood's shaft is splintering. It is a taylormade super fast burner 08 and I bought it at sports authority 3 weeks ago, should I contact taylormade or sports authority?

If its only 3 weeks old, take your receipt back to SA, they will replace it, just as any store in the world does on newly bought items...

In the Ogio Kingpin bag:

Contact sports authority first, they may replace it.  TM won't replace it, I've dealt with them directly in the past and with my experience they have poor customer service.  It will cost you a little bit to get the club reshafted.  It depends what shaft and grip you get and where you have it done.  I'd estimate $20-30 for it.

One thing you can try is go to a golf store that does club work and see if they have any spare or "pull out" shafts. Another thing is try EBAY to see if anybody has one that they pulled and no longer need. If that is the case and you find a shaft, I would take take to your local club and they should be able to re-shaft for you for a small fee.

      Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.

      I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.

      Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
