He's a great player, and I can see why he's wanting a trade, he's not going to win anything at Lakers, so he wants a championship somewhere else, he's just going about it the wrong way.

He made his own bed with the Lakers. His contract is prohibitive to bringing in other guys. His selfeshness has run off guys and prevents others from wanting to play there. He forced the team to trade Shaq and to get rid of Karl Malone and anyone else that sided with Shaq or didn't worship him. He ran of Phil Jackson for a year. Even after they have done everythig he has asked, he still takes shots at them publicly. The guy is an incredible talent, but he will never win until he realizes that he is much more the problem than the solution. This is a franchise that won 8 championships in the last 27 years. They were also in the finals 13 times in that stretch. LA was always a team that could draw free agents in. Guys would take less to go there for the shot at winning. When they traded Shaq they were only a few months removed from a trip to the finals. Shaq went to Miami and immediately made them a contender. They went to the East Finals his first year and won it in his second. The Lakers missed the playoffs and have lost in the first round the last two years. If Shaq stays in LA they could have easily won at leat one more.
